A little correction in the video... The Old Bazaar is not the oldest part of the city. The other side of the fortress - Scupi is much older and dates back to the Roman Empire. It used to be the old downtwon of Skopje. It also has basilicas and an ancient theater among other ancient buildings. You should totally check them out if you ever plan on visiting Skopje again ;)

Beautiful video and beautiful city. Lot of history. From the comments it is pretty obvious that neighbors are jealous. And they should be, I mean look:Mother Theresa, Alexander the Great, Roman Emperor Justinian, lot of old churches, the deepest underwater cave in Europe,And that is only in and around Skopje, imagine what Macedonia has to offer. The majority of people from FYROM (fake Macedonians) are dreaming of “The great Macedonia” which includes the Greek Macedonia region (original Macedonia where Alexander was born) together with a part of Bulgaria. Tito wanted to assimilate Macedonians as Serbs just like any empire that ruled over Macedonia. He tried to remove nationalism by renaming states to Vardarska, Dunavska, Moravska, etc. after rivers in order to remove nationalism and introduce patriotism to Yugoslavia. Tito did the exact opposite of what you think he did. We would know we are the ones that had to live under Yugoslavia, not you.
