There was never any talk about it among my group of friends or my classmate. When I got to highschool however was when I started hearing people talk about how this person or that person was doing this kind of drug or that kind. Some names came up that honestly shocked me and some people even confided in me that their acquaintances had made them uncomfortable by suggesting for them to try it too. Into my junior year of highschool was when I actually saw kids publicly smoking (I don't know what they were smoking or the terms, have never done it myself) but I remember being in the car just driving home with my sister and there would be some kids walking on the street parallel to me and they would be sharing something and then one of them looked me in the eye and I turned away. Most people I know, and myself, excluding a very few, take heroin to get high. For me and the majority I know it just takes away the depression. I've tried numerous anti-depressants, benzos and a whole lot of therapy. The sad fact is that for some people, life just doesn't work out and no matter how hard we try it doesn't get better. Before anyone jumps on this I'd like to say that yes, I want a good job, a family and a life without heroin. I've in no way "given up". A lot of people claim all sorts of mental illness and depression these days, but believe me, when the real, worst thing hits you, it's not a call for attention or sympathy. You'll get rid of it anyway you can. So please don't think of us as junkies. We want the same as you, we just haven't got there yet.

I feel less alone when I see this video... You know, I used to be the kind of intellectual guy, first of his class, until I break down and then break bad. My first drug was alcohol, and I liked it so much, I just said : "I wanna be on alcohol every fucking day, every minutes, every seconds.". It was a Jack Daniel's at the restaurant with my parents. I was 16. Then I smoked weed for the first time with a friend - but I didn't found it really cool, I had a bad trip... I was 17 then. At the age of 18 I discovered Valium, Xanax... I fall in love with them. It was so nice. I started to use it to be free from anxiety to do my studies. I didn't what would happen then... The addiction. It was my first year in college, really harsch. The next year, I started drinking, still 18 old years old. And I discovered codeine. It was so far better than weed ! I used to drop them like candies. Then I discovered morphine. First by oral. Far better than codeine ! Then I snorted the morphine. Then... I shot the morphine. Then it wasn't enough, my tolerancy was too high. At the age of 19 I shot heroin. At the same time I took cocaine for the first time, and shot it. And I continue drinking like a fish, - but I withdrawal from Valium, which I was hooked, at the psychiatric hospital. Then the cold turkey cames out... I just said to myself I had to go to a center. They gave me buprenorphine. I fixed myself with it when I wasn't on heroin. I was so afraid of withdrawal syndrome. I took Valium again, for the withdrawing of the IV cocaine - sometimes crack cocaine. Years passed and I tried to commit suicide, at 21, 5 years ago. I go to the psychiatric hospital. I was hooked on heroin, cocaine, I was drinking a lot, I took a bit of Valium, I took MDMA sometimes, and weed but only with alcohol and Valium. After that, I return to my parents' house. My mother cried when the doctor said to her that I was an addict. I really feel ashamed at this moment... I thought it was no use, I'd be an addict for life. Years passed. I snorted a bit of cocaine at my parents' house. I smoked a bit of weed. I snorted a bit of heroin but it didn't give me the high, as I was on a high dose of bupe. So I give up. I was sober from heroin and cocaine, but I was still drinking and taking Valium. I return to my studies but, unfortunately, because I had the money, and because I was no longer on a high dose on bupe because I reduced, I took 1 gram of heroin and 1 gram of IV cocaine and crack. At the moment, it was damn good. But after that, I was feeling so ashamed. I gave up. Now, I'm 26 in few months, I restart studies, I want to achieved my second year in college. I'm on bupe 0.4, no cocaine, no heroin at all. Just 3 Valium 10 mg per day and sometimes I drink... Sometimes I get drunk, but it's ok now. I'm finally practically sober. Now I pray for everyone in this world who has an addiction. It ruins my life. Because of depression, anxiety... Life is difficult. But sometimes it can be beautiful. You just have to wait for it. To pray for it... Thank you guys if you have reading this. I wish I wouldn't have take this shit... But that's life. I had problems, no I'm begininng to see light. Thank you all. God bless you my dears.

I graduated from a high school about 20 minutes from here in 2016 on the Illinois side of the river. They’re not wrong when they say that affluent neighborhoods have the problem too. I have friends who know plenty of people in these boroughs who experiment with these things. Once you get to the Illinois side it’s even worse in some areas. I lost two friends from high school to heroin either during my four years or within one year after I graduated. This city has become a hub for heroin. I still remember the families that would come to speak at the high school each year. Talking about their sons and daughters who passed onward already due to heroin addiction. So much potential soiled and scattered. I feel for all of them. Cause I’ve seen what it does to people.

I've used it as a crutch to de-stress from work/school for the day and when I'm having a bad day and don't have any weed, I go nuts. When I try to stop smoking, I get very bad night sweats as well (absolutely gross btw). But then again, weed effects people in different ways. What is a struggle for me to kick it, could be easy for the next person.

I would wish a dope addiction on my worst enemy, Richard Nixon. I would even wish a 10000 year long textbook 'bad trip' on him. I would wish tens of millions of years of physical suffering on Richard Nixon. heroin is only illegal because nixon hates black people and weed is only illegal because nixon hates the anti-war left and the hippie movement.

Luke Maxwell Heroine should never be any resort, people know this but still choose to do it. If anything they should try marjuana, and just stick with that. They have to make the stupid choice to do heroine, which will cause more problems than their depression or anxiety.
@ZombieProdigyUS6 жыл бұрын
Luke Maxwell True, I know you are not in the right state of mind when you try something like that. I mean I get sad sometimes to, and you dont think rationally whatsoever. However.... while it may be harsh that is natural selection getting rid of depression under that logic. I do see your point though as to why they do it😌

Zombie Prodigy: My cousin and I smoked pot and experimented with psychedelics and dissociatives when we were teenagers. We used to talk a lot about drugs and how we thought all drugs should be legal in a free market, and although some people would die that was just natural selection playing out. We thought we were safe since we were smart enough to dose responsibly and avoid physical addictions, but sometime late 2016 he decided to try a research chemical opiate called U-47700. He died last July of an overdose after going through rehab and experiencing multiple other overdoses. Its really incredible how quickly opiates can take over someone, its like people completely lose control with them. Anyway, I'm just saying this because deep down I know your comment is valid, but it's really hard to accept it.

As someone who's had a family member on hard drugs like this (heroin,meth, cocaine, and etc) I call bs on the father saying he didn't know about his daughters drug habit ( imo). Either he decided to forgo all the signs and or was just not present in her life . Signs of drug use to outsiders may be hard I'll give you that . But anyone that has lived with an addict you can tell. It's one of the hardest thing to deal with and tbh it's one of the few things in life where u should disassociate urself with anyone that does it. Kick them out make them go through the shit through it because at the end of the day it's their decision that they will get clean and u have no say in the journey. The longer that u minimize the impact of what the drug does to their life the longer it takes for them to realize what their reality will be like. Let alone its impact on killing ur family. I know I sound harsh but if uve lived with an addict u know what I'm talking about. I just want people to understand what you have to do because it's a hard ordeal and it eats everyone that is involved
