@GreenGretel3 жыл бұрын
That doesn't work. State-level politicians receive relatively low pay (not minimum wage level of course), but all that has lead to is their ranks being filled with rich businessman who can afford to do legislating as a sort of hobby and often fundraise their own campaigns (and make laws that suit the interests of themselves at the expense of the rest of us). You need publicly financed elections and a fundamental overhaul of the lobbying/legalized bribery that dominates the political process to get real change. Constitutional amendment-level overhaul because the corporatist Supreme Court justices were literally appointed _because_ of their willingness to enable/legitimize the bribery, so they'll gut most federal laws meant to change things.

I don't know what I think about situations like this. At first you want to criticize and say "don't do this" "don't do that". I have been lucky, but I came from very little. I was also fairly smart, but I worked hard in school and got a doctorate. I'm not sure why some people fail to see the importance of school and others are lifted out by gifts, luck, or opportunity. It's unfornately the reality we live in. If we make it easier to be lazy then more people will be lazy. If we make it harder than we are failing as a society.

Martina Carrilo everybodys situation is different. You should understand of all people. Not feeling bad for the kid because of the mom he didnt choose is crazy. Nobody can decide when they are born where they live who they live with or revirse the decisions they made. You may have made a valid point if not for that comment. Thats ignorant and wrong. That little boy is innocent and you should feel for him. Plus the mom in this clip. Excuses or not. Could have chose a better way whatever she still works a 9 to 5 and has next to nothing. Have a little respect for that. If she didnt work or spent the money on wants thats a different story. Anyone who works atleast 40 hours a week if possible should be able to live decent and every child diserves a good life. Thry are innocent and are future. God bless you for saying you dont feel bad for a child.

Philly Girl I'm not sure what the other people mean by their comments, but my personal thought on the situation is this, it is imperative that people educate themselves on crafts, a personal chef, a hairstylist, a musician, a masseuse, a landscaper, an Uber driver, growing your own vegetables and then selling them at an open-air Market, running errands for the elderly, subleasing your house or apartment and pulling the equity out of it, doing all of those things will bring you a lot of money every week and there are tons of other ways to make money on your own terms, when you're self-employed, you're in control of how much money you make, living on minimum wage doesn't have to be an option, it shouldn't be an option if you have children, it's all about educating yourself and making a difference in your life

Philly Girl she has the FREEDOM to find a higher paying job. She had the CHOICE to get up off her complaining ass and better herself. Instead she complains, complains and complains. She’s is like the hamster on the wheel. Running in one place and not getting anywhere.

I like how everyone is condemning her for having a child but what about the absent father who is incarcerated??? I see a woman that is there and trying her best to makes ends meet and y’all want to condemn her and not the father who inst there helping For all that continues to comment under my post arguing against what I said. I do not care about how you beta males feel I still stand by what I said and y’all can continue arguing with yourself below.

There's a reason why you shouldn't have children until you're married and this is a huge part of why. You shouldn't be having kids when your relationship hasn't existed for very long.

@@twistedbliss58 fully agree, but I might be cultural thing. Either way the absentee father judging from the effects he's caused in the video is an absolute POS. He should be kept from creating more single mothers.

I am sorry, but being a muslim we are not allowed to have children before marriage its a sin. A marriage is a great responsibility on both father and mother. Islam put restriction on man that if you like a lady, marry her, and take her responsibility.

I got into a fight with my mom about her getting me a new phone, and seeing this... I realize how privileged I really am... I feel like a spoiled brat asking for that new phone when she’s struggling to put food on the table

Andre Touchy Fili That's good that you realize that, it'll help your mom. I'm still using an iPhone 5, which is around 6 years old right now, and my dad isn't even rich, both my parents work hard to earn their money.

Don't see the importance of a new phone. The money you put on the phone you could use for anything else. 800-1000$ is enough for activitys, or hobbies that are more beneficial towards you. I don't frankly give a shit about expensive phones because most people just use the to be couch potato I used the money for boxing.
