When you're high for so long, being sober is like the new high. Moderation is difficult for some people but possible.
@jrz96823 жыл бұрын
This right here. Top comment. Exactly how I feel. I've probably gotten high since I was 13-14 years old. Decided to quit this year after detoxing for about a month. That month felt so good like a different high. guess I was so used to being stoned all the time that when I quit it felt like a new feeling don't know how to describe but haven't smoked at all this year and I feel great.

@@jrz9682 similar story, I was smoking weed heavily for a year and also growing it and selling. I smoked so much I got bad anxiety and paranoia when it came to social interactions and I am a very social person. I finally moved with my girlfriend and decided to quit. I did it cold turkey and it was hard for the first little bit. After about 4 months I felt normal again. My short term memory is much better and I am still gaining my motivation back. I am doing a new grow soon but I have confidence I can smoke moderately because I have more respect on the effects of weed. It's not meant to be abused.

I try to take dabs of concentrates to limit the effects on my lungs you only need one hit to be high of concentrates so thats how I limit the amount of smoke I consume. You also spend less money then smoking the flower bud. I spend 75 dollars the most a month. It just depends on if your in control of doing it 🤷.

@Nick Ger Yes I did, after 67 days. I felt like oh man, after being away from it for that “long” I would have a high similar to my very first time. How are you you feeling Nick?

@Nick Ger The worst part about it after going back, smoke session seemed so normal. And I ask myself why am I here again and again and again. @Nick Ger Okay, I think to myself is this something we should quit or is this something we should just have better control of, you know what I mean? Id call homies just to come chill knowing they had bud on them..it got bad. Id smoke 7 grams a day. Wake up smoke...eat breakfast, smoke... go shower and get done smoke. It became my life. Then about 2 years ago I remembered praying saying God please take my desire for getting high away. Please show me I don't need it. And next time I smoked I got sick.... very sick... scary shivers and jacked up heart rate. Paranoia... and I mean id smoke all the time and most thatll happen id maybe get a headache or severe munchies but this was different. Something I never experienced. So...id stop for a few days and try again...same results. It scared me to point I knew then and there it was time to quit. Knowing it was God answering my prayer. I been sober going on 3 years. Cold turkey. No regrets. Best feeling.

I was a daily smoker for over a decade, then one day I smoked a bowl and my heart rate sky rocketed. Never experienced anxiety or paranoia before while being high, so it was really new. Stopped that day after smoking that little bowl. Threw out the rest of my weed, threw out all my pieces, grinders, lighters. Only thing I ever do now that is drug related is maybe a CBD joint here and there. If you ever want to stop, don't wait to do it, stop that day. A lot of people are like "I'll stop after I smoke the rest of this pack", but then they just re-up. Also if you have a group of friends and all you guys do is smoke together be prepared to move on, in most cases they are really only your friends because they are just people to get high with and match with. Being clean and sober is the way to be.

I got to the point of smoking all day everyday. I started noticing anxiety & anger when I didn’t have anything to smoke. & my tolerance became high asf. Once I noticed it was becoming a problem I forced myself to slow down. It was hard but I started skipping days smoking, or just letting myself run out without re-up for a few days or until the next check. Even if I had the money to get it. It helped me save a lot too. The only thing is that it also made me realize I was addicted to the feel of smoking and doing it when I was bored. So I replaced it with disposable vapes and b&m. It helped. Now I’m used to smoking 1 blunt a day, maybe 2 & sometimes skipping a day or two. My tolerance is so low now I can smoke a part of my blurnt and be good for a few hours. But I’m also not proud of smoking tobacco now, even though it is rare it can become a bad habit. So I have a long way to go. But I’m confident I will never go back to smoking more than a blurnt or two a day. I realized how damaging it could be. I feel better mentally & physically. Too much of anything is bad.

I remember watching this a while back and thought I would like to do this. Now for various reasons I'm doing it. I never planned to do it long term and to eventually smoke with moderation but now I'm not sure if I want it in my life on a regular basis. I feel I could easily fall into habits of heavy smoking again. Now I feel the best I have in a while. I'm eating better (both quantity and quality of food), I've started excersing and building up my mental health. Since I've made these changes I've lost weight, slowly getting back to my more natural state (before I was working long hours, smoking heavily to deal with stress and eating like crap), feel more energised and focusing on bettering myself as opposed to instant gratification. Don't get me wrong, I'm not anti-weed, far from it, but I've recognised my relationship with it had become bad and became more of a coping mechanism as opposed to an enjoying reward at the end of a long day or at a party with friends. Hopefully I can get back to that but for now, I'm just doing me

I quit 4 months ago after 4 years. Best decision of my life. I smoked to help with my insomnia (I keep waking up at night, end up waking up not feeling like I've slept) and anxiety as well as to help me relax. It helped with my severe migraines as well. Smoked for fun too. I needed to get to the next level in my life and it was holding me back and I needed all of me present. I realized my anxiety was x100 worse when I'm not smoking as well as when I tried to quit.

Another thing that's important is the mental state in which you are when you try quitting. it has a role to play with withdrawal symptoms. I had to step down with cigarettes for about a month (I tried quitting cold turkey at first). Exercising heavily and eating healthy is all you need. I miss kush mehn. Lol. Daily smoker here checking in, I recently struggled with trying to stop smoking.you feel like everything is better while you’re high, but at the same time it feels like you’re not feeling the most important parts of life while being sober.I feel as if marijuana numbs you To life experiences, Relationships, Clarity of your mind and being in touch with the world around you. you come to a point where you finally realize that there’s more to life than to be in high or under the influence all the time. And contrary to studies I feel like marijuana is highly addictive. I hope someone reads this And get something from it to help the next.

Yes. Def psychologically addicting. Anything that feels that good is gonna be rly addictive.

Trust, anything that makes your brain flood with dopamine will be addicting, and weed is a good example. Been trying to let it go but is just so damn good 😂 been without smoking for a year and a half then had a relapse and yesterday decided to smoke my last joint. Curiously this video showed up today 😂

Stopped smoking 3 months ago but yea I got sad when I stopped smoking too, had to realize the truth and face reality instead of escaping it. Now I’m high off life 🙏🏻🤙🏻
