Of the famous men to watch drinks - Brendan Fraser would be so touched and honored to guard your drink, although the responsibility might give him anxiety. Seth Rogan would have good intentions but might forget about your drink and either leave it somewhere or drink it himself. Jack Black would absolutely finish your drink the minute you're out of sight. Paul Rudd is going to spill your drink, possibly on himself, but he'll buy you a new one. Bill Nye is going to tell you it's not a good idea to leave a drink with a stranger even if it's a trustworthy one (and he might turn your drink into science content, but it'll be entertaining at least). Keanu Reeves will be honored to be given your drink to watch and will somehow use it as an excuse not to engage in small talk with people.

Petition for sites like Netflix and Hulu to give their shows actual endings. I understand that maybe a show does not do well at the start, so they need to make room in the budget for the shows that are. But if they had the budget to make a full season, they could surely figure out a budget to make a feature-length final episode to tie the loose ends. I would rather that than nothing at all.

And as far as shows that did not do well in the beginning, Schitt's Creek is a pretty flawless show throughout its entire run, but it only received any sort of notoriety in its final season, which was objectively the worst season (Not because it was bad. Other seasons were just better.)

In the game The Last of Us, not the tv show, but the game, it explains that the people who are infected by the fungus know that they are still alive and know what they are doing. They just can't stop the virus from taking hold and infecting other people. I literally just learned that from someone else who played the games today, and it sounds far more horrific than any outcome from any other zombie cannon's universe.

co star is considered p problematic in the astrology groups bc it ai/doesnt employ actual astrologers, the ai is programmed to be biased against certain signs (hence why becky, a gemini, gets negative messages), and doesnt give accurate information on your birth chart(largely ignoring houses and aspects). the app's good for having your friends charts on hand but if you really want to deep dive into astrology there are better apps to do so(:

So Costar does in fact hire real astrologers (I'm an astrologer and I've considered working there, but it's a pretty fast-paced startup environment and I don't have those kinds of spoons!) They also hire copywriters, and so my impression is that the astrologers give the information for the daily transits and then the copywriters "spice it up." There is also an algorithm involved, but I think it's just used to get the match the right bits of text to the right chart significations for a particular user. I do know that part of their house style, though, as Becky pointed out, is to be kind of "pokey" at users, e.g., "get the fuck out of bed!" or whatever, and that turns a lot of people (myself included) off. I heard an interview with the founder addressing some of the criticisms that it's not real astrology, as Matt says, and I was convinced by her explanations, but at the same time I do think they're taking the astrology and intentionally "punching it up" in a way that may be disempowering to the user or just not really a fair assessment of a transit. If you find the app fun, then use it! But just keep in mind you always have your own agency, and the little summaries you get are not necessarily fair interpretations of what astrology says about your day, because there's no way an app can do that-they're referencing particular parts of your chart, not others, and when you get an astrology reading, you're getting a more comprehensive interpretation 😉

No eating while doing the podcast, please! I’m all for a snack but it’s not the most pleasant sound to hear and it’s becoming more frequent. As a long-time listener, I love the close relationships between y’all but more often that not now the episodes are “fluff.” I understand and know this is a lighthearted podcast but the episodes seem like catch-up conversations between you guys. Would love to have more structure again, whether having more guests (maybe Marissa who’s an acting coach/Try Guys collaborator) or touching on a variety of topics like you did in the beginning. Again, big fan of the podcast and 138 episodes is an accomplishment in itself!
