What's up Guys!? This is a piece of a seminar I taught last Saturday. When I have trouble filming new stuff... I will drop more footage from this seminar. Hopefully you guys like it and give it a thumbs up! 👍

Excellent video as always Coach Brian! I love the analogy with fishing, had similar experiences as a smaller guy 5ft 8 155 pounds rolling with bigger guys. My experience too with the Omoplata is holding it and riding them out until they are exhausted! Thanks again for the video!!!

I’m glad you made that speech at the end about not thinking “I’m gonna submit everyone!” It really puts it in perspective, the journey of bjj/grappling.

Showing litetrally, my bottom game. Half guard to either sweep to mount, shotgun arm bar, Omoplata, or power half nelson to a back take. Very solid stuff B!

gold video!! Super curious what your move is that you were going to teach for when they are crossfacing too hard to look right?

Please teach us defense of rubber guard and related submission escapes. I will continue request this untill you do as your instructions are the best one and internet does not have good defense techniques in this regard

Some day I will... I need to get one of my rubber guard buddies from 10P to place me in it so I can develop more strategy. Its not something I'm running into on a daily basis but I hope to do so in the future!

Best defense is ass 2 grass squats and deadlifts and guard passing. Posture up and blow out their damn knees then pass their guard. Also helps to pummel your hands around their legs to avoid triangle/plata positions and hand fight very proactively. Good luck with their gumby bullshit! ;)

HAHAHA, Guy at the 12:50 mark. I hate when that happens. You try to explain a principle where there are maybe 4 or 5 different reactions a guy can make from that position. You try to explain one of them and they decide that they want to give a different energy, so half the class is wasted trying to explain that the guy beasting out in a particular way is only ONE of many ways that you MAY face. Well done Brian for telling the guy to stop turning one technique into a fight.

Is there any chance you could please give us your take on their hand/lower arm position to finish the omoplata? I tend to run out of lean/extension, even on non flexible people. Thanks.

Question .. At the beginning, you talked about bringing your right knee up Into what looks like a half butterfly guard. Is there a instant sweep available to the left once you get to that half butterfly position?

how does someone have 2 years of jits experience and not know some of these basics? not shaming just wondering

Two years can mean one class a week or it can mean 6. It's not an accurate way of measuring how much mat time someone has, I track my hours with Marune app

Dude i love your channel bit your VIDEOS ARE TOO LONG. At least edit and make a second video focusing solely on the technique with all of the extraneous materials left out.
