Love your comment, “I don’t want to be a perfect carnivore; I just want to be healthy”!! Yes. I too, took care of my parents during their last years … and realized if I didn’t do something, I was looking at previews of coming attractions for myself. Very valuable lesson. Thanks for all you do my friend

What a great conversation! Thank you, Anita, for inviting Coach Bronson to your podcast! I'm 61 years old, so I guess I fit the demographic for both of you. I'm also mostly carnivore, have been a CrossFitter for 9 years, lost 115 pounds, and also run because I can and it makes me happy. I love your channel and your gentle, relatable approach to life. Thank you for all you do for this community. ❤

I so agree, Cherise. I love how relatable Anita is. I have fallen side ways and having trouble getting back on. I found rodays interview full of gems. Anita is the best. Love this young man as well, and I'm going to have a look at his work. Turning 67 at Christmas, I started this journey to play with my 5 grand kids. Gosh I've notice the difference letting little bits back in. So great learning. Off to reinforce my confidence in me and my choices. ❤😊❤

I’m still cautious about aggressive exercises as any amount would exhaust me before Carnivore and take days to recover. I can walks 20 city blocks now without problems but making myself sweat after hot flashes it doesn’t attract. Hoping to learn better way.

Menopause is not such a big deal for Indigenous women. Perhaps it’s their heavy meat/fish & animal fats or Fish Row such as Olichan, Herrings eggs or salmon row. Gosh I want to jog sometimes but the degenerated spine discs L3,4,5 & S1 have collapsed the S curve that used to give me a lovely butt! I wonder if the gyms treadmill is safer for my situation?

So interesting that he was actually a fitness coach and still said he looked the same as 7 years before. So glad he discovered carnivore! Anita, not sure if your hair is a different color or it is the interesting color of green, but you are looking great! Where is the correct wall push up video? I need it:) If his Mom is 69 and doing what she does, I can certainly do better at 77! I'm eating carnivore and a lot, and definitely need to build muscle and strength. Most wonderful is my arthritis pain disappearing. Dr Elizabeth Bright is also great on Menopause. From my experience artificial light can also affect it! When camping in the desert for 3 months and using no artificial light and hiking every day my period came back totally regular with none of the problems I had ever had. It lasted 2 years and slowly faded away with none of the problems I had had the first time.7 essential movements (and then do with a gallon of milk) 1-squat - get up and down out of your chair 2-hinge at hips 3-lunge - walk upstairs 4-push 5-pull 6-carry 7-twist torso without damaging spine

This is a great interview! And, Anita, I have to say, you look gorgeous. I am morbidly obese and have been for over a decade, in my mid-40's. However, I have been active all my life. Walking/jogging/hiking/biking, LOTS of weight lifting, etc. At my heaviest, I was having some mobility issues but was still fairly active. I have lost 50 lbs and have about 100 still to lose. At my size, I believe I can do a lot more because I have been active than if I had been sedentary all my life. I have quite a bit of muscle, can walk regularly 6-10 miles, lift heavy weights, row, some biking, stretch a lot, etc. I don't say this to brag, just to encourage everyone to do appropriate activity for your age/size/ability and to KEEP doing so. It's so very important that we stay active throughout our lives.

Thank you Anita for this fabulous interview! I am 72 and had such bad knee and sciatica issues I was barely able to walk. Currently living on 3rd floor of a building with no elevator and doing well. Started simple with slow yoga 2dsys a week and 2 days of strength training in a seniors class. Have also been eating keto/ carnivore mostly for past 3 years but very confused by all the info out there. Coach Bronson gave the easiest and best and most helpful info about how to apply the principles that I’ve heard to date! Love his line: You are your own science experiment! Thank you again Anita-I love your channel and appreciate that you are also a Canadian! 😃😃😃🇨🇦Keep up the great work!

Thank you for this great interview! I love the suggestion to remove the word “should” from our statements 🙃 I appreciate the mindset of “none of us is wrong” when we’re listening to a variety of voices on the subjects we’re all interested in. I've gone through quite long episodes of gym work I the past, I still hate exercise. There might be results (eventually) but exercise is nasty and does not feel good. That does NOT change over time or with consistent application and I'm tired of being told otherwise by folks who chose it as a career because they enjoy it. Not everyone gets the endocanabinoid 'lift' that some folks get

@KetogenicWoman I can't remember where I saw it, but there's paper somewhere that estimated about 25% never actually enjoy exercise. I joined a gym that has the Imbody and love it! I’m doing this for health and my gut, not weight really, but did want to loss a couple of pounds. I’m 5’2” and was 119lbs I’m down almost 5 now, im 60 yrs old. I had signed up for the gym at the higher weight and got a PT and this has happened. I’m also seeing muscle again. I had done all the stuff being younger, working out daily mostly cardio. I also do a physical job. I took a break a couple years back because I was so fatigued and need Ed to heal my body. I was getting weaker and all my health markers where going in the wrong direction. I also track my food and what is working for me right now is higher fat moderate protein and low carb. Adding the PT and weights has helped me to get the weight down and my energy is so much better. For me and my size I also can’t eat a ton of food. I eat 3 times a day and from the Imbody scan I only need under 1200 calories a day, not that I focused on that, but it has helped me to keep it there. Hope this helps some people out there.

At 11 weeks you are still adapting to carnivore. But that said do you know if you have any histamine issues? I would avoid deli meats, any aged meats or canned meats for now.

He has so many videos that cover many aspects of the 7 essential movements. Best to ask him what to recommend, I do plan to have him on my channel for a live Q&A.

Thank you for having him on. I’ve not heard of him, but I liked what I heard and definitely will be watching him (and his mom. Lol) umm I do have one question of what I think I heard him say, was that the 1 g protein that part I got, but was he saying 1 g of fat I mean exactly how the protein applies is that Holly saying that the fat applies say you need 125 g of protein is he saying you need to eat 125 g of fat??
@KetogenicWoman
@KetogenicWoman 8 ай бұрын
I'll have to rewatch because I don't remember him saying that. But some people do follow that but we are all different. I eat 150g protein and 100g fat and that works best for me.

As a starting point to see how your body responds, yes. You may need to adjust up or down based on your progress. Each of them are individual and do not have anything to do with each other.

40 minute mark. Get in out of your chair until it is easy then do it holding a gallon of milk until it is easy. Walk up and down the stairs until it is easy.

You look great and happy Anita! I’m experiencing lot of stress at work, I’ve gained back the weight I lost and more. I don’t eat breakfast. My lunch is three whole eggs, steamed around 1200. For dinner I eat 300g to 400 g beef trimmings cook in air fryer with some salt on top. Any thoughts?
@KetogenicWoman
@KetogenicWoman 9 ай бұрын
I feel like that is not enough nutrition. I would try to eat 3 meals per day and make sure you get 30g protein per meal. That is probably the minimum to maintain your health.

I have been carnivore for a year and a half. I have lost 75 lbs and want to lose the last 20. I have been in Steak and Butter Gal's group for 3 months, and feel that I am fasted out. I talked to Kevin from Kevin and Alice but can't afford his fee. Do you have a suggestion for a coach that is "affordable"?
@KetogenicWoman

I am also in Kelly Hogan's weekly coaching group and I love it but it's completely different from one on one coaching. It depends on what you need. If you need a coach who helps you plan your macros and meals then yes it is more expensive. If you need inspiration, motivation and a tribe then group coaching could be right for you. I am not a fasting person either btw!

Question to clarify: did he say 1 gram of protein plus 1 gram of fat per day of lean muscle or goal weight? Example: My goal weight is 145 pounds - so that means I should have 145 grams of protein and 145 grams of fat every day. Am I getting that wrong? Because that means 5 ounces per day of each thing and I’m only eating those two things - I’m not eating plants. That’s not much!
@anitabogue

I mean - that’s 3 eggs a day 😅. And how do we measure fat? I don’t understand how to do that.
@KetogenicWoman
@KetogenicWoman 7 ай бұрын
No you are taking the number as WEIGHT of the meat, it is MACROS. 145 grams of protein is approximately 1.5 lbs of meat depending on what kind of meat. Best thing is to set up an account with a macro tracker and learn what 145g protein looks like for your favorite meats.

Running is bad for your knees. I think Dr Bright doesn't recommend it.
@KetogenicWoman

When I lost the first part of my weight, trying to run when I was in my late 50's and 250lbs is what ruined what was left of my knee. So I'm one that should not have taken up running!
@coach.bronson
@coach.bronson 8 ай бұрын
Excessive running, or running without doing other sorts of physical activity can be bad for you. That's no different than any other exercise that you over focus on. We are designed to run. It is an inherent functional ability of our physical body. It is only bad for your knees if you are not doing things to support your overall function at the expense of the health of your knees.

??? Not that I have seen. I just googled that symptom and found these reasons: hormones out of balance, insulin resistance, cushings (too much cortisol) and a few others. Thank goodness for carnivore!
