It's crazy for me to think someone who dedicated so much time and effort into basketball can vanish so quickly. I think my emotions in this video pretty much capture those of us who never met Kobe--but are intimately connected w/ the game of basketball. Kobe will be forever missed and never forgotten.

RIP Kobe we miss you and Gigi 😢 Kobe and Gigi’s passing truly shows we aren’t promised tomorrow to live every day like it may be your last and to truly question what your legacy will be when you are gone from this earth and how you treated people when you were on this planet Me I want to be remembered for my kindness and giving and compassion towards all like Kobe was and when my time comes I don’t question if I should treated people better I want to know I did the best I could in everything and every moment I got to contribute to making this world a bet place weather it be just make someone feel better when they are sad or having a bad day or giving back to someone less fortunate then I am I want to know once I am gone I had done my part to better the world I don’t want to live with what if’s I want to live with the fact I did everything I could to be the best me for everyone to learn and benefit from the stuff I did to contributing to Society in a positive way What will you be remembered for when you are gone because we aren’t promised tomorrow

My dad was a huge Lakers fan, but an even bigger Kobe fan. He defended him like he was his own son. I can still hear my dad sitting in his favorite spot on the couch screaming "Take it easy Kobe!", "Don't get to crazy Kobe!" then his infamous "YEAH KOBBEEEE!!" (my pops passed in 2016) so it's been very hard to watch a full Lakers game without hearing my dads voice across the couch from me as i used to sit and watch every game with him growing up. When I heard the news of the crash my heart sank and all the feels of losing someone came right back as if I heard the news of my Dads passing. Not only was he a part of my childhood like so many around the world. But he was the reason my Dad and I formed an unbreakable bond cheering him on with Shaq, Gasol, then the frustration of watching him trying to make something out of nothing. I can never not watch "Dear Basketball" or even a Lakers game without my dads voice near by.

January 26th will always hurt me. Not simply because we lost gigi who was on her way to change the WNBA but because we lost her mentor as well. Kobe gave me and other athletes something special. But he was only beginning his journey. He was no where near the end of his journey and he was taken from us. I knew then the world was falling apart. I dont wanna wish horrible things on anyone but Kobe wasn't the one it should've happened to. I can't, I just can't. I remember the first and last time I said his name while throwing something in the trash. I can't anymore. Pain is to real. There are only 3 people that have dies that I cared for. Robin Williams, suicide. Stan Lee, old age. Kobe Bryant, tragedy. Our heroes die of course, im glad they lived at all because without them I wouldn't be who I am today. I swam and when I hear Kobe voice I smell chlorine every time. The last 2 years have been not the best in my 3 decades of life, but I'll always smell chlorine when I hear Kobes voice. Rest in power king. You raised a generation of athletes and we will never forget.

Since he died I couldn’t listen or watch this again, until today I’m a grown man now and it hurts so much to watch this knowing that he gave so many people love and passion he’s one of the reasons I love the game, and I’m crying at work because of this shit
