Aomine's plays is where all the cut of budget goes xD I love the special effects of this anime so much. The lightning effects of when a player is in the zone is "chef's kiss", it encapsulates so well the power, speed and energy, I love it!

I’ve always loved the differences in how the characters react to Aomine entering the zone; Kuroko/Kagami/Kise/Midorima all seem blown away, Murasakibara is surprised but not baffled & Akashi is just hyped 😂

Hey coach, I just came across a quote from another coach online and wanted to run it by you & everyone here b/c just thinking about it for a couple minutes I changed my viewpoint on the quote several times. Here is the quote, being said to one or more of their players: "My job is to find someone better than you. Your job is to make sure I can't." Obviously the 2nd part of the quote is great, it was the first part I had some issues with b/c it comes off as harsh (the original post even admitted as much). However, once I thought about how "someone better than you" could mean, "a better version of you" instead of just literally a different person, my mood on the quote flipped. I personally think the best way to interpret the quote now is a combination of both, where the coach needs "to find someone better than you," whether that be someone else OR, ideally, a better version of you. Idk, what do y'all think?

I remember when they first showed Bojack Unbound on TV all those years ago. Definitely one of the best DBZ movies. I am certain Kuroko took Super Saiyan 2 electricity as inspiration for the zone electricity.

Coach the zone is only the unrealistic part this anime. Think it like the adrenaline rush and desired to win realistically. And the only desire is make more shots. I am soccer player in my college . But i am basketball fan as well. So in scoccer feeling of scoring more goals. So overall zone represent that ur unstoppable in scoring.

Zone is absolutely realistic, the Couch spoke about this in the video. He also proved that he was already aware of this concept, as he said in sport it's called flow. The flow was the direct inspiration of the mangaka behind the Zone.

The zone is probably the most realistic part of this anime. It's a real thing called flow state and it's representation in this show is pretty much exactly how it works in real life too

@@kiranbharadia i understand people's desire to make it believable but i strongly disagree. CONCEPT of zone is realistic but they push it too far. Let me rephrase that to be absolutely clear. zone is a thing, zone in kuroko no basket is unrealistic. it is same as saying "people can sometime spend insane amount of time under water" and use that as excuse to make breathing under water "realistic" there is a reason why coach had to use DBZ for reference and not NBA. while zone or flow is a real thing, it does not give player a super speed or superhuman accuracy or anything really that was shown in this episode aside maybe the abilty to see things in slow motion (and even then it is not really ability to see slowmotion but just hightened senses that can be described as such)

@@frankcayseron8637 to the extent that anime can be realistic it absolutely is. But anime is naturally dramatised and exaggerated, you always have to just take that into account. The zone in KNB is literally just making them perform at a higher level than they normally do, the characters in the show already perform superhuman feats, the zone just lets them be more in tune with themselves. It's not like the example you said because those are fundamentally different things
