I have had my Spyder now for 45 days, and I love it. You helped me decide on buying my 2024 spyder. I have introduced my husband to your channel, and he enjoys your videos as much as I do. He owns a 23 HD RoadKing, but he really likes my spyder . I see us planning some trips like this in our future. I'm a new rider at 72 y/o and wasn't sure I would take to riding and love it as much as I do. I would like to thank you and coach Viv for inspiring me to ride and realize you are never too old to try new things. ❤

Those 360° turns where the road goes over/under itself are called “pigtails”. My wide & I went to Sturgis in 2022 and when I mentioned the Deadwood 3 Rally (after the fact), she sounded interested in maybe going next year. When we went to Sturgis, the Harley broke down and spent 2 days in the shop. We got it back in time to do the Mt. Rushmore/Crazy Horse/Needles/Iron Mountain rides. Awesome riding - can’t wait to do it on our Spyder.

Black Hills, Deadwood trike rally, the black hills are without a doubt the best of the best and a sport trike is the only way to truly enjoy it all. Some great unpaved roads in the hills that are increasable.

I love this video and the opportunity of seeing people ride these roads for the very first time. Glad you made the trip Coach Bob! I've lived in South Dakota for over 30 years with every other summer spent in the the Black Hill (most of them camping trips). Since owning the Spyder for five years, I've been able to ride it through Custer State Park three of the summers. I always recommend riders visit the Black Hills well before or after the HD Sturgis Rally takes place as the roads during the rally are too crowded to really enjoy these highways.

Thanks for watching... I would love to live there, but, I think I am too weak for the winters. What a beautiful place.

@@CoachBob3 Not to mention the shorter riding seasons due to the long winters. Although if there is no snow on ground, I have been known to ride December through February if the temperature is above 20 F.

Great video Coach. I’ve been on those roads several years ago in my pickup. We had a RV and stayed at Custer St. Park. I am going to the Deadwood 3 wheel rally next year for sure. I will be bringing my Spyder and my Tiger 1200 to ride. I saw you didn’t have your helmet strapped when you were doing the Needles Hwy. It reminded me of one time I forgot to strap mine about half way into my ride. Somebody was definitely looking out for me. Can’t wait for the next video.

Really really like this channel. Just discovered it. Found your WOW videos. Put those on and listened while I was relaxing this morning. I am a born again, non denominational Christian. I attend a small house church. Anyway. I am the proud new owner of a 2021 Ryker 900. Previous owner had upgraded the lights and a few other things gs. And I plan on doing a few other things. I live in the panhandle of Texas and am 66 years old. Am having a blast on the Ryker. Some confidence issues on the freeway. I have trouble relaxing on the freeway. Tons of big rigs on the freeway. Just really feel uptight about how it feels when a big rig passes me, or suddenly I find myself surrounded by them. Plus, in the Texas panhandle it is not unusual for us to have 30 to 40 mph winds with gusts in the 60 mph range. But I am getting out on my bike as much as possible and putting myself into these situations so I can better learn to handle them with more confidence and skill. So it is gradually happening. Finding I really enjoy riding alone There is a sort of quiet contemplation that I just love driving the country roads out here where I live. But I also crave riding with others My brother has a vintage gold wing he loves. And we have gone out together. But he does not have to stop as frequently for gasoline. And the Ryker seems to need to stop more frequently. About every hour and a half or so. And his gas tank seems to go almost double the distance. Would love to find other spyder and Ryker drivers who are Christian’s and would like to do an occasional meetup. Might even start one. Not sure how to do that, but may give it a shot.

We drove from Wisconsin on our Spyder's to Deadwood. Didn't get on needles highway but we're able to do the iron mountain pass. Loved the tunnels we went through. Did you get a chance to run the bad lands? That's awesome to see also. Spearfish canyon run was beautiful too. Love you video though. Wouldn't mind chatting with you on a good camera or GoPro set up. We want to ride several of the National Parks (Bryce, Zion and Grand Canyon) in 2024. However, we want to trailer our bike to Denver first. What do you recommend for trailering a 2020 Can Am RTL 1,300 miles? We know you trailered your bike to the Black Hills and perhaps you've formed an opinion.
