It only took about 13 months of watching and re-watching your videos to finally understand yielding and overcoming actions at the pelvis. Yeah, that long. I know you've made videos on them before but I think these concepts - for me at least - just needed marination. I feel like I can actually follow your thought process 80% of the time and not be completely confused by it... and that's me being generous with myself. Thanks for the vid Bill

Until the crucial point at 11:48 , and the following explanation of the relative ER-> IR -> ER, I didn’t get this. Now I do. Thanks ! 🙌

Great information! Thanks. Does the axial skeleton rotate in the same direction during all phases of the gait cycle?

Hey Bill considering the biased right turn we have due to internal forces, would you cue a right hip shift during split squat, or you would just use a contralateral load to slow that side down? The goal is to bring the right side back Thank you 🙏

Just slow the right side down.

If the goal is to bring the left side back, would I cue my left foot forward split squat with the sacrum turning towards it to create a yielding strategy and then cue my right foot forward split squat with a sacrum turning away from the front leg?

The sequence you describe is useful.

How can we ensure that during split squats movement is occurring with in pelvis not whole pelvis moving as a single unit? One thing in my mind is to keep medial heel contact throughout exercise
@BillHartmanPT

medial heel and 1st metatarsal contact is helpful.
