What a wonderful coaching dynamic! Jennifer, you are a wonderful coach and I truly enjoyed your way of navigating the labyrinth with Sarah!

This was incredibly helpful for me as a new coach but I also hugely empathised with the content as a Mum of teenagers. Thanks so much for posting this video.

Thank you Jennifer! I'm having a blast this summer chronicling food arts with dishes from my garden. I so appreciate your spaciousness, ease and artful coaching. MCC level coaching is luxurious -

Great session. I loved when you recognized a need for internal satisfaction after the meal was created as opposed to external satisfaction.

Interesting and I am appreciative. I saw the connection about the legacy as the female or feminine part of the family. I guess as a coach I might have asked what does your son know about this legacy? Then again on the particulars of the mishap (or expectation being unmet) both mother and son may have been worn from teh day and not been their best selves.

Thank you so much! As a brand new Certified Life Coach, I took a lot of key points away from this coaching example.

Great Video... I totally understand this conversation... and being a Life Coach, some times it's hard to Coach ourselves... "Looking in the Mirror"... especially when someone tells you that your feelings are insignificant!!! That you both for such a beautiful video

This seems more like counselling than coaching

Insightful noticing, Raksha. Coaching can touch the deeply personal and still be coaching. The session agenda depends on the client and what they want to work on in the session. Notice an absence of "why" questions that would lean into counseling. The "what" and "how" questions moved the client into looking into the front windshield, rather than living in the pain or past. The focus was on what the client wanted--does this help? Notice, too, this is an MCC session, so you could review the Core Competencies and how an MCC demonstrates them here: coachingfederation.org/app/uploads/2017/12/ICFCompetenciesLevelsTable.pdf

I see this from time to time (this is the client in that video) and it reminds me to post. I've started posting and feeling more excited about food, textures, flavors and all the colors from our abundant garden in 2022! Thanks for the encouragement! (Sarah E.)
