We're trying to overcome what feels like complete ineptness although I remain convinced our staff needs to continue to modify language and teaching techniques to improve comprehension and application. Great perspective Coach. We're going through much of the same, and having come from a very successful stable program. Much of what we have been teaching is brand new especially to our young sophomores and juniors. We have been trying to build skills, teach the work ethic and teach how to apply those skills while building confidence for our kids. Losing and at times losing big has been frustrating but ultimately the challenge we always face is how do we do the best for the kids, and develop them. Thank you for the great video and keep doing great things for our great profession.

Way too many excuses and too much friendly consoling in the comments! I appreciate your passion and football knowledge so I feel obligated to be honest with you. I'm coming off back to back losing seasons for the 1st time so I have to look at self and make changes. Your channel is information overload coach. It's no surprise you're not winning. That winning coach is right so instead of pushing back, look at what he does and apply it. Those guys have d1 players because they've created winning culture. Kids want to play for them and schools want to hire them. Don't start 8 sophomores on defense! Start a couple seniors and more juniors! Get some real strength training going so your whole team is not under 200 lbs. Nobody cares about your excuses! Stop changing your practice plan so much, the problem is that you keep changing it. It doesn't matter how much you know if you can't successfully transfer the info to your kids. People are right, with everything you know, you should be able to simplify it in a way to win more. Based on the length of your videos, I'm sure you probably talk and white board your kids to death. You probably stop and correct every time a kid steps 8 inches left instead of 6. Get your team bigger and stronger, simplify, and put the best 11 on the field. Everything you said in this video could've have been said in 5 min or less. I challenge you to get these videos done in under 5-10 min. Look at other videos, no one has long 20-30 min vids coach.

Words well spoken. I realize that lack of success is my own fault and know what I have to fix. For the record we dont run all of the things i talk about and I've had 8 playoff appearances, a 9-1 season and a final 8 playoff appearance. I talk openly about poor seasons and realize they are 100% Head Coach's fault. Thanks for watching and the comments, i respect all opinions. As far as information overload my channel has way more subscribers than guys doing 5-10 minute videos si I may respectfully disagree.

Hey, starting 8 Sophs is not an excuse it's a reality! Been there and may be there next season . I hope they all stick it out and reward you for your hard work and great teaching in two seasons. It's not often we get blessed with large group that will grow together in sync. Enjoy the fruits of your labor (your staff as well)
