Communication equals connection. Most parents don't make the time to connect. Its nice to see them trying to create that space for their children Its so important for development.

Unfortunately in a screen addicted world, I do think more people are distracted and connecting less and less (not just parents). I’m giving a talk today on “Feedback” and I feel that one issue for parents of children with delayed development, is the lack of a clear feedback loop. Meaning that they may try to connect with their child, but it’s not always reinforced by an expected response from the child. This can lead to many outcomes, including parents who gradually (and subconsciously) stop trying to connect with their child.
