Love camacho but this stoppage was a little suspicious. Especially for the 80's, when refs didn't stop fights unless one guy had an eye hanging out of his socket.

Hector Camacho was an Amazing fighter, what he lacked in punching power he made up for and then some with his superior boxing skills!

Those Dane referees screwed t all up. When a fighter was hurt they let it go on and on and when there was a big championship fight the closets sign that they were hurt they stopped it.

Macho fought a lot of awkward fighters on his way up but got the job done. Leonard moving up had easy opponents moving up except for one guy Marcus Heraldo Camacho a true great.

I am by no means a Leonard fan, that being said Ray fought A LOT of tough guys coming up Geraldo being one of many. Pete Ranzany was a top welterweight in the 70's and fought Cuevas for the title. Yes he was ko'd and Leonard ko'd him after Pete gave him possibly his sternest test at that point. Fireball Rodriguez was tough. Javier Muniz was a welterweight title challenger. Randy Sheilds took Cuevas the distance and some feel he won. He also went deep with Hearns when no one else did. Adolpho Viruet. All very tough fighters . Hall of Fame no but world class

@@brianseneca3546 I see your point, but Vic's channel is right. Camacho did fight a lot of good prospects & contenders. & a lot of those fights were pretty much 50/50 fights. He wasn't too concerned who he was matched against - just happy to keep on getting TV fights, & he was good enough keep winning. On the other hand Leonard was matched reasonably tough before his 1st world title, but they were mostly learning fights. With respect to Leonard, Camacho definitely has the edge in competition before either of them won a title....

TOO BAD CAMACHO HAD SUCH A TRAGIC ENDING TO HIS LIFE. HE WAS BORN IN BAYAMON,PUERTO RICO AND I FEEL HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN BURIED ON HIS HOME LAND. BUT THAT WAS A FAMILY DECISION.
