Wow, totally changed from 1978. Tracen Alameda had honor guard starting in boot camp. I was Oscar/Alfa 122. Very interesting how different it is now.

I was honored to serve at Alameda '81 one of the last classes there. Oscar/Echo 136. We had a history for our team. "81 California State Champions 12 man Honor Guard. CC BM1 Bruce A. Royce.

Yes it is, you usually get it after Boot Camp. Takes a lot of discipline and training.

Las mujeres deben formar su propio drill. Sería muy vistoso, pero cuando se mezclan con los hombres ambos pierden protagonismo y se diluyen las maniobras y el trabajo se pierde su atractivo. El ejercito Chino lo tiene muy claro y el drill de solo mujeres es un espectáculo.

was there is 77-79. chief pledger was chief then. he did not like me. there was none of what i see here going on. full of PRIDE then and still full of it now. women were just being fazed in then. best group of people I had the honor of working with. sign in name not real name.

as an ex member of the honor guard in the 1960's, I think they look like bus drivers...one or two of them might have been considered back then...but everything about the guard has become softer , so why not the honor group.
