Outstanding job guys on your meal !! My professional background was a chef in Baltimore and Ocean City , Maryland , U.S.A. I can remember importing Dover Sole ( frozen ) from the U.K. , blue lobsters and lobsters from North African waters . Abalone , we got from the West coast of the U.S. To this day I eat really inexpensive foods and they are the best ! Adding a runny egg , some mushrooms and some type of smoked PORK product on a brick would work for me . Your Abalone Burgers look AMAZING !!!!!

We call these paua (abalone) where i come from New Zealand they usually taste like a rubber gumboot but if you pound them with a mallet or frypan they soften then you can mince em or cut em chunky then cook it with slice of butter, cream and lil bit of curry powder salt and pepper 20 min fry n simmer and boom it goes good with bread a NZ CLASSIC cheers mate happy foraging 🤙🇳🇿

The one girl Depends it's nice but it's also expensive af. Australia is the better place to go. I lived there for 6 years & never once saw a wild snake or anything horrible like that if that's the reason you say you'll never go there. It's 100% worth going to.

Love abalone we have them in red abalone in northern California. I use to go out and catch them but our season has been closed for 3 years now I miss that delicious mollusk.
