I love the words at the end of this video, if it didn't come from the sea then don't leave it on the shore. Too many do and then others see it and think it's ok. NO, it's not. If you take it down there you take the leftovers home. Great video again Jay, love all of your uploads.

My father used to say: "When we leave the beach we leave it cleaner than we found it." I used to hate that when I was 8 years old. Now I do it every week when I leave the shore.

I am 60 , as a boy we would get pails of wrinkles , I would sit and stick the cooked ones with a needle , that had about 8 inches of thread on it , I would fill the thread with wrinkles , would take about 10 minutes . My grandmother would clean it in about 30 seconds !!! ! She just loved them . !! She was from a little outport in Newfoundland

Excellent video, when you cook pepper dolce, it will lose it's peppery flavour, just add it to the dish without cooking. Learned this from "foraging with Craig Evans", he is an expert on foraging and seaweeds. Looking forward to the next episode.

Great content smash. Old man tip here : the non stick coating on your pot is toxic go for an enamel or porcelain coated one (Aluminium bad and cast iron too heavy) scraping the coating off as you stir with your knife means its then in the food) A non toxic Smash fishing cook pot would be great merch for your fans. Put me down for one. Rant over

Duuude the kelp you've been told tasted sweet when you dry it isn't meant to be sweet lol. It's actually refering to the "sweetness" as in like when someone says their seafood is sweet. It basicly is the savoriness/umami. By drying that kelp, you'll almost always find that some white stuff crystalises on it when it dries. That stuff is basicly mostly pure msg/monosodiumglutamate. Don't listen to those saying msg is bad for you thats bollocks. What you do is take that dried kelp and put it back in hot water just long enough to dissolve the crystals then you discard the seaweed. That will make any broth or sauce taste a thousand times better I tell you!
