I got my main on Miller and would really prefer a merge of both servers. Playing PS2 rn feels amazing with all the players online, almost like the old days. Sadly there are a lot of hackers running around too Edit: RIP Miller

Back in the day, Woodman and Miller servers were merged. They made this huge event, where servers battled for the name. Woodman was the most chill and new player-like out of the three european servers, imho; and Miller was famous for hardcore players. So predictably Miller won. Oh, and of course characters were safely transferred. Maybe with a name change in some cases, idk. I'm just saying that this certainly doesn't look like DRG are/were planning to merge them. There wasn't any news, only wishful thinking from some of the players. Pops on Cobalt is fine. One pop-locked continent in prime time. So, what are you going to do if they were to be merged? Pop lock 2 continents in prime time; 3 in some cases?

Cobalt was a nice place for new players to learn, most of people are new, so new players usually go against other new players, not lvl200 ASP gods that have 3KDR, 99.8% Headshot rate that just instakill you upon turning the corner. Miller feels miserable due to them. Any new players that are on Cobalt just lost a chance to double their progress gain, If the servers are merged, Then they should increase server performance, because if Planetside servers turn into laggy, rubberbanding, high ping crap even for a week, that could spell actuall death of the project, that can be compared only to, instead of slow death by aging, you get shot in the head.

Didnt play for a few months but cobalt had quite a lot good players along with A LOT of A2G in comparison to miller. In addition, much more drama.... Dont know if i would suggest cobalt as a better server for new player.

If server hardware can handle the load consistently then they should do the merge. I don't think PS2 has potential to attract new players at this point, so they should just make sure everything works for existing players. I am fine with PS2 entering maintenance mode.

it's like 25% - 35% more popular but it's orders of magnitude more 'alive' in terms of community.

Yep, also you have different Outfits actively playing the game. Leaders with platoons active. Comp or casual. But at least they are multiple squads n platoons!! Thats the thing that was dead on cobalt. 0 outfits 0 community except CBMC AND 3EPG zerging

​@@delirious3911 I played with CBMC Platoons a couple of times now and tbh... they appear to be one of the few outfits not mindlessly zerging. And Ipdan might not be the easiest person to get along with, since he is pretty salty, but from what I have experienced, he is a pretty competent Platoon-Leader. Since you blamed a Vanu outfit and a TR outfit for zerging, I take it you play NC on Cobalt?

I moved server on a double xp weekend used 2 xp boosts & got lvl 158 with an Ant , was not high impact dynamic fun but got me my A.S.P. points in no time at all & made a few friends

I mean. I was now playing on Miller several days. And whats going on there is awesome. Not 10 orbital no 20. Not 5 Mossies no 25. Everything is bigger. More intensive. I will switch I think. Or a merge yeah....

My outfit has resolved and all the 70+ players i know played on free 2 play accounts included me, we have paid 0 so if we move over to miller we have to start from scratch. None of ouse are willing to do so. We basickly droped PS2 and moved over to other MMOFPS/MMORPG games. If we cant move our accounts with all our gear for free to miller we wont be joining the server.

Rumour going around is cobalt has been forced offline by constant DDOS attacks, Emerald is also being targeted, which is why you'll see so many G15 errors. CM confirmed this last time the community suffered this server wide when a mass of G15 errors occurred in the summer, which is being done by the exact came group as the present attacks. RPG/DBG are aware of the group targeting the servers, if the screenshots on discord are genuinely correct, Asia region group of players who were banned. Again I cannot verify any of this as it maybe a troll.

I wish I could say "no fk you zealous, ur opinion is wrong" but it honestly isn't. I wanna say at least 50% of people from Connery either quit the game or transferred to Emerald, Connery is lucky if it hits 300 players on a weekend night now, and forget about weekdays. Like you said the main reason I'm sticking around on Connery and haven't fled to Emerald is precisely because of selfish reasons - I don't want to give up all the effort I put into my main, but overall, I play the game less now due to this. That said I'm going to stubbornly resist until server merge (if that even happens) and lead pubs for the new players. I think us salty vets can help the game out A LOT more if we stop farming the shit out of people and start helping them play the game better.

as a cobalt player that go his first auraxium weapon after YEARS of playing the game on off, a server merge would be the only option for me. i would rather quit planetside for good then to start over from scratch

I've got the worst luck with the server downtime, every time once in a blue moon I try to hop on ps2 the server is down or game is down fuck my life. No way am I switching too much lost progress and I am not giving any money if the devs keep messing up the game ignoring new player experience and things like this with server being down for over a day with no communication

Because ipdan has insulted me and our outfit extremely regularly for three years. I have no issue with incompetency(hell I run 'the boys community') but when someone is toxic, I hate that. The crazy part is we've been super cordial to him but he has gone around and thrown hands at us and many other VS outfits simply for existing. The whole situation sucks and it's a shame he doesn't get along with other groups. I've found great benefits and value add from getting on with other groups in terms of cooperative events and even simply not seeing them as outsiders or 'the other'. Genuinely it annoys me this dude erodes that feeling. Obviously CBMC are more than just ipdan but I do take umbrage at them tacitly going along with someone genuinely toxic like that. There's so.many stories surrounding that dude.
