Uh they should be able to that's kind of the point of them, kill everything in their blast radius or toss it. Making them unable to kill beacons and routers would make them more annoying than anything else and somewhat useless.

it sucks because there’s many ways this game could have stayed relevant in todays gaming market with AAA failure after failure, still nothing on the market like this game, and most people i talk too on discord have never heard of this game before. no advertising, bad updates, poor management decisions, etc.

i do wish the devs would just put in 20% effort to get 80% returns like you mentioned, there are a LOT of ez things they can do which they can refine or change later on but mostly i wish they'd allow character transfers to other servers or server merges, connery rn is miserable.

Imo, Logistics has to be evaluated differently functioning team-based (*squad/platoon) and solo-player-based. And while I will say solo players are not allowed to complain about logistics - because there are more additional options to spawn when in a *S/P - a lot of players aren't playing in a *S/P. They can't spawn into a Valk/Gal or at a beacon. I'd say the majority always spawns on a Sundy. The thing is - and mentioned this multiple times - if people would play for the objective (defending a base) and not just for team-deathmatch - 50% of the defenders would spawn armor, drive around the base and destroy every Sundy. The meta would drastically change.

Attacker spawn a while away from the point, with a sundie spot near an "activator" for the hard spawn, so you still need to think about putting a sundie/etc there but if it does get destroyed, you have a nice buffer to get another sundie there or cap the base if you're already near the win

To make fights last longer, maybe the final 60 seconds should be rapidely restored when taking back the advantage, if you're pushed back to 10 seconds before losing and manage to cap the point you get twice cap rate until above 60 seconds if you were to lose the advantage again.

Stealth beacons with longer respawns but instead of being a lightray to the sky, it's a bright glowing light that can't be found from far away. Will decay in 3-5 minutes tho.

The issue with PS is by nature its almost impossible to balance, you have squad play and platoon play and both technically need their own logistics.even having 3/4 fill squad vs full squad..on base caps...trying to get get enough ppl lf the 3/4 squad to get on popping a sundy is near impossible while dealing with other squad. Im kinda one of those nostalgic PA1 vets who liked the slower gameplay where your life mattered due to how long it took you to get back in the fight but it was also different back then because of your inventory ammo and resources were more valuable as you could only resupply at terms. Keep up the good work Zel....you one of the few folks that keep PS from dissappearing in to the ether.

Also steelrain maxes can be counter easy with 1 click of pocket OS, entirely of squad dissapear mid air.

Yeah, I'm with you here. I don't understand why people think this is going to change how populations of players play the game at all. The closest thing we ever had to actual logistics mattering was removed from the game when the resource system was changed from the 3 different resources to the chuck E cheese token nanite system. The only "logistics" that has ever mattered at the end of the day is how many people can you jam into a building 🤷‍♂️. Very boring, very shallow.

Sundie can be made cheaper, Deploy shield should keep getting buffed untill it's a problem, auto repair delay could be removed on deployed sundies, Sundies on there own anvil and can be used from the technical slot instead of a module. If my bus dies I want to call in a new one not redeploy back to the last base.

Who determines when deployment shield buff becomes a problem? That's a very perspective based issue. To ESF equipped with some a2g, the deployment shield is very powerful. I can barely knock out a sundie shield by the time somebody spawns and mans the gun. To a C4 fairy, 2 C4 and some rockets and the sundie is gone.

I unfucked my adobe premire settings - it was set to 24fps somehow before. 60fps now. Is it just me or does gameplay now look 'too smooth'.. almost in a distracting way?

My problem with the router was it heavily encouraged players to build a silo, router, tube, air pad and that's it which then would fill up the map with exclusive zone and prevent other people from building actual bases. Basically OG router encouraged lack of engagement with bases not more which actively hurted the system. Artillery is in the same boat. How to fix those is up to question but what is important with construction is everything in it should feed back into itself more or less. Honestly for the bigger problem at large it just sounds like we got bad logistic design across the game. I would suggest an overhaul but it's too late in the game's life span for such a suggestion soo . . . yeah I'm a bit out of ideas at the moment.

bro the updates over the last few years suck, you are not missing anything. Shame the game hasn't been ported over to PS5 or xbox though. idk why.

There isn't even building on console, and the team fights are rare, and when they do happen it's always 3 factions fighting at one location where no one makes ground.

It could be easy honestly to fix sundies. One idea was to have a mini citidel shield around it that can't be damaged until the sundy itself dies, it will only be active during it's deployment. That way if a sundy that is deployed get's killed is if people gotten close enough another thing could just be to make the health boost aka ERA for the sundy make the sundy take way less infantries anti vehicle weapons, since majority of deaths a sundy dies to honestly is mostly infantry. There are those people who pull MBTs to hunt sundies but i don't think there's much to be done about that else then just flat making the sundy taking less damage from vehicle in that case or make an "upgrade" that makes vehicles do less to it. Otherwise there's not much to be done and i got to be honest. The game is very much dead. So there's not many bewilling to defend sundies anymore, because that just spells death for most people.

Usually logging in multiple times will fix the issue. Yesterday there was a different login issue afaik

IMO, PS1 towers would help a lot. Or at least the role of them, the shape need not be tower per say. In PS1, letting attackers have the chance to take hardspawns was key while the soft spawns could park at the tactically closer position. Like you said, CS bases are a step in that direction.

If only all of this was on console, console planetside 2 is dead and to see over a 100 people fighting at one location is rare, my whole problem with planetside console is the lack of adaptability the console version has, there is no building, despite there beiny ants, if your looking for a teamfight you either go to the most populated areas where no one is making any ground or you can push a different spot with some enemy stragglers just hanging around, i think console planetside needs a whole rework

Routers were busted in tower point bases when they got implemented. I still have nightmares ,when they implemented routers without any limits, having to defend the 3 point tower base where enemy router is on top actual tower ,which is only spawn point for defenders by the way, and you have attackers not letting defenders leave spawn at all due to literally having 50 people running and jumping from top of the tower onto defenders who just left their spawn. Spawn beacon is fine to be honest, on the other hand valks took over the position of point to point taxi and hard drop spawn from galaxies when they just got in the game. Deployed galaxy is an easy target cuz of it size which literally can be sniped from shore in oshur while it is deployed in one of the Tridents at Oshur (probaly the only base in entire game where Deployed gal can be used) and altough it gets extra shield it still vulnerable to flak dmg anyway. So in short if devs decide to look into logistics they will have to look into everything if they want to "balance things out" which they 100% wont. Looking deeper into dev note, it seems they talk about making it more versitile but still saying that it will be more limited in other specific situations. Some points from sundered/tank main: 1. Adding deployment and stealth (invis) together but keeping decloak upon dmg will make sundy more "tankable towards incoming damage or infantry nukes". 2. Devs have an idea of having sundy carry "repair/ammo" towers that they can drop and go some where else, like to deploy on the base to help infantry to capture, like wtf?! In that sense armor column will have to remain stationary if that sundy will leave after he "pooped" little support and left. Meaning sundy will no longer be an active vehicle support at all , since they will lack any supportive vehicle role and even presence at all. 3. Put Nanite Auto Repair and Blockade armour together since noone uses NAR anyway, which will make battle sundy more self-suficient in combat and outside of it.

Even a low skilled noob can quickly take out a sunderer regardless of their deployment defense. One person single handedly killing a massive fight with little effort is ridiculous.
