My hook keeps getting bent when I try to hammer it into the ceiling. Is my ceiling hole too small?

We recommend that the hole be 5/16’’. Installation guideline: 1. Pre-drill a hole using a 5/16’’ drill bit. 2. Insert the TripleGripTM into wall or ceiling 3. Tap in with a hammer flush to the wall. 4. Insert the VersahookTM into the TripleGripTM 5. Screw clockwise until firmly set in place. When installing into wood, do not use the TripleGripTM 1. Pre-drill a hole using a 5/16’’ drill bit. 2. Insert and screw the VersahookTM into the wood. 3. Screw until firmly set in place

Does the anchor come out if needed? For like moving the hook to a new location.

Thank you for your comment. The versahook itself can be removed but not the anchor due to the 2 expandable wings that grips tight behind drywall.

@@lnsdrumline09 We recommend pushing the anchor into the wall and patching the wall. However, please note that the anchor could be removed with pliers but this is not ideal as it could and probably would damage the wall.
