2012 Mustang Gt 5.0 with a M-9424-M50CJA cobra jet intake Manifold twin 65 mm throttle body
bbk long tube headers pmas cold air intake running on E85 M-9593-LU47 fuel injectors
E85 tune by lund racing. this cool mustang also has boss 302 recaro seats the owner of this car also uses a lund racing flex tune . . Considering the cost of a whipple supercharger or a procharger twin turbo system this N/A full bolt on car makes excellent power without boost. with stage 3 cams and more dyno tuning this car can potentially make 500 whp. why buy an expensive shelby gt 350 or a shelby gt 500 or even a 2018 - 2020 Mustabg gt 5.0. the older s197 mustangs with a few mods will run with the newer cars. they just need a few mods

Nice numbers! Also tuned by Lund but 18 intake manifold made 418whp 386tq with cat deletes, 18 manifold and E85. Did long tubes now havent dyno’d yet since the change

The gen 1 coyote reminds me alot of 07-09 gt500s theyre underrated far as potential because they have less power stock and theyre "old" people think they arent worth building compared to the later models but that just isnt true. The thing with the early gt500s and the early coyotes they were much more restricted from the factory than the later models which is why they have less power but this also means there is more to be had in the aftermarket. A gen3 with fbo cams and cj wont gain as much power over stock as the same mods on the early coyote because they are better set up from the factory so there is less gains in the aftermarket same is true with early gt500s compared to 10-12 models they just came with a little better intake and tune stock which is where the 40-50 extra hp. As far as the 13-14 model its mostly the blower that makes the difference swap the same blower with same mods early ones can make comparable power to 13-14 and identical power to 10-12 models once theyre all modded the same. I like the underdog aspect of these i got an 07 gt500 next i wanna add an early manual coyote beside it for alot of the same reasons. You swap out the intake and cams on gen 1 they can make some damn good power and i love the look and the solid axle and the more raw feel overall. Solid numbers btw *edit* .moral of the story is ppl think they have less potential because they have less power stock and this isnt true. Gen 1 coyotes cant take as much power with forced induction as later cars because of the bottom end but far as na builds (which is what id wanna do) they got just as much potential.

Gotta have a ton of money into NA build and weight reduction and they can hurt feelings. Slap a blower ona Gen 2 and gap them with windows up, AC on and three passengers lmao

Great numbers! A manual N/A car like that has to be too much fun. The setup reminds me a lot of Fran's car all though think Underfed has cams and a stall too. Of course his is 6R80. LOL.

I have 2011 5.0 with ported cj manifold, vmp twin 67mm tb, pmas cai, american racing longtube headers catted xpipe and borla atak catback. I made 433whp.. are those numbers correct?

You have catted mid pipe and you're probably on pump gas too. He's on e85 and may be running a monoblade throttle body that's good for a few extra hp. Idk for sure.

It has to have cams too pretty sure it does. No way it'll make anywhere near that with stock gen 1 cams and those mods. The gen 1 cams keep the cj from making the power which is why gem 1 stock cam guys think the 18 mani is close to a cj lol. It may be w stock gen 1 cams but if it has cams its game over. Cj car needs cams to see full potential

Underfedcoyote 5.0 .. These were std correction numbers but the car is also a Mt82 car. .. In the case of your car i expected a little more with the cams even with the automatic. . i would see if your tuner could find more power. i think more power is available..

So I just bought the same set up but with short bbk tubes , would you recommend extra things for safety like a race water and oil pumps and other things or the stock will do the job?

The reason you'd go GT500 or 2018 is because a GT500 will net you 550WHP with fbo. No e85 if its a 07-12 and with e85 575. And a 2018 10 speed with a tune no other mods will walk out this max effort NA s197 like no ones business.

The gt500 is also a pig compared to the s197 5.0, a max effort NA s197 would be this with heads and cam on m5 and gutted with a bunch of light weight parts

@@true5.012 The gt500 is a pig but the displacement of the SC would help a ton to get it out there. And I've beat FBO E85 s197's and M6 S550's with my A10 on just a intake and e85 tune. I went to a s197 though for looks and just plan to boost it to make up for lack of the trans lol.

Quick question I have a friend he has a 2012 mustang gt he has 18+ manifold bigger injectors and e85 that’s it manual claims he’s pushing 430 beats 10 speed mustangs with headers and a tune and beats stock 10 speed camaros this guy must be bulls hitting me right no way he’s pushing that much power and beating what he’s beating he don’t wanna tell me what he has can you give me a clue what he might be running?

If your friend with the 2012 is out running 10 speed mustangs with long tubes free flowing exhaust and running on E85 .. i would say he is hiding a nitrous kit in his car. . a gen 1 with a 2018 intake and free flowing exhaust running eE85 will make 430 to the wheels maybe even more but he will not out run a 10 speed mustang with the mods i mentioned . . your friend with the 2012 may have a 4:10 gear in the car also. . that will help. . but i think he is hiding a nitrous system ..

He probably is running a JMS dry system. . it hides the bottle in a duffle bag in the trunk . or in the spare tire well. . there is only one hose running to intake in front of the throttle body .. easily hidden in the sound tube or through the air box .. FBO 10 speed cars on e85 are fast . . a gen 1 with cats will not out run it. . it will need a 100 shot. .

That 10 speed a car and a half I just thinks it’s really weird considering he’s pulling away at top end off on a 10 speed

@@korpse345 a full weight premium 2018 gt A10 car is 4000 pounds. The s197 cars are around 400 to 500 pounds lighter. So if they have similar hp numbers and the s197 owner can drive, it takes the s550 every time with power to weight ratio.🤷‍♂️

Cams aren’t really that much power with a coyote especially if you don’t do heads also. There’s a guy in Miami with a fully built gen 1 engine heads and cam making 530. I don’t know if it’s stock compression, but he has another car exact same setup as the car in the video that made 8hp less . It was ran on the same dyno they ran the heads and cam car with a built engine.
