Basically what should’ve happened when Kyler attacked Miguel back in the house, realistically Miguel is still recovering, Kyler should’ve beaten him badly. Don’t get me wrong, I was rooting for Miguel but man this ending was just brutal for Miguel.

I mean. I'm not a doctor, but that kick he was going for against Hawk was extreme. I'm not gonna say the stuff he was doing against Kyler wasn't anything, but they weren't pushing his back to it's limits. Honestly, I don't think his back was the problem I feel it was more a symbolic way of showing Miguel was collapsing under all the pressure he was under. Losing track of what he was fighting for in the first place and after what Robby said to Miguel you could tell he was hurting. Pretty sure Miguel could've came back, kept fighting. Okay, I've been typing too long but one more theory I have is. Miguel was the perfect example of Johnny's mistake, while Sam was forced to fight as a Miyagi do she was beginning to lose. It was until she switched styles she turned the tables, Miguel was fighting under Johnny and fought the way he was told EXCEPT he never switched thus fighting in the Cobra Kai style which lead to more flashy movements...and the back thing. Johnny admits this when he aid he would've had a better time if he allowed him to keep training under LaRusso.
