You have to imagine the whole premise of Under the Rainbow began with the idea of a little person doing the salute into his balls, and they worked backwards from there
@d3nza482

NOPE! It started with the true story about a hotel full of midgets during the filming of Wizard of Oz. At some point over 300 midgets, many escaping Nazi Germany's "blood purity" laws and not speaking English were placed in the Culver Hotel, Culver City CA. A lot of them were circus performers. Others were street beggars and hustlers - and prostitutes. Who were suddenly being paid $125 a week - which was a lot of cash back then. Naturally, they spent most of it on booze and wild sex orgies. To quote Judy Garland... "They were drunks...They got smashed every night, and the police used to scoop them up in butterfly nets." Bert Lahr, the Cowardly Lion, mentions that “assistants were ordered to watch the midgets who brandished knives and conceived passions for normal-sized members of the cast” - i.e. some were quick to hold grudges and to try to settle them with knives. For bonus points, these hacks fail to mention that it is a movie staring Chevy Chase and Carrie Fisher.

What’s interesting is that when this film came out in the 80s, my friend who was 2 years older than me, had his Dad take him to see it at our local cinema (My parents were not having it). The next day after he watched it, my friend came over to my house and told me the entire plot of the film, and i was awestruck. Now, here i sit nearly 40 years later, reliving that moment. Different storyteller, same vibe. Thank you “This Aged Great!”

@Glassandcandy
@Glassandcandy 7 ай бұрын
That’s funny but also strangely accurate. Provolone when used in small strategic doses is absolutely delicious, but too much or on the wrong sandwich and it’s almost unbearable. It really is like Stallone’s acting, the guy is responsible for Copland, one of the best cop dramas ever made, and “Stop or my mom will shoot!”, an actor who teeters between measured brilliance and Unbearable overindulgence.
