Thank you Dw and Pdp, for the Concept series. Im already doing tours with this kit. Love the color of the Transparent Walnut lacquer finish. Including putting all of the Features that are on the high-end Dw Sets, and making it easier to buy. Listen close to both of the Kits, The performance and the concept sound alike. Get the Concept series if you afford the high end kits because Dw Dont compromise Quality!!!!!

With what DW did with the PDP Concept line, there is absolutely no reason for anyone to have a bad sounding set of drums in this price range. No sir, not with these drums.

This is the epitome of why I love DW- There's not a lot of drum companies that would even think of doing this kind of comparison- Same heads, same tuning, same studio, same EQ. Awesome! Hat's off to John Good and company for putting this out there ;-) No matter what your budget or style of music, DW has a way to get you inspired. Good stuff :-)

After buying this and after tuning that 14" tom it sounds so warm and sounds like a cannon! So amazing, definitely recommend it!

Just bought a concept kit practically brand new for 300$ on offer up with 5 cymbals And the stands also drum cases and a case for the hardware.. the kit sounds amazing!

dw drums I have the Concept Series, and I really enjoy it. I have the maple version in Red to Black Sparkle fade. And I love that it has a DW MAG throw-off on the snare. I really love the tone of the Concept Series. I would highly recommend this kit to anyone who wants an amazing sounding kit; but doesn't want to spend a lot of money.

For the money this kit is by far the best kit out there in this price range... and if you don’t mind used it’s a still at 949$ new, I got mine for 600$ used 7 pice at GTC... love it!

I have a Concept series kit and with my Evans ec2's and a G2 on the snare it sound Amazing! Also stays in tune very well, I had tuned it like 2 or 3 weeks ago and brought it to a gig today and it still sounded amazing after just a tiny bit of tweaking

To put this in perspective, both the PDP Concept Series and the DW Performance Series sound very good in that room. Both are good quality kits. However, from an engineering standpoint it's all about how good your drums sound in the room. In fairness it would have been nice to hear both kits during the same passage in the song at 1:31 so we can really hear those toms sing. I myself have been looking into purchasing a DW Performance kit. Good stuff!

I have a PDP Platinum kit (they quit making them) and it sounds incredible. I have had several sound technicians in live settings tell me they love the sound and that they are easy to mic. Not sure how the Concept Series compares, but there are several people promoting it. It is a bit more affordable than my Platinum kit was too.

I went ahead got the design series. I left out the pillows in the bass drum and put Aquarian texture coated heads on the 12” tom and the floor tom. I play a 4 piece. It sounds like John Bonham’s kit. I bought it for $999 without the snare. I use a Ludwig acrolite with it.

I can only say pdp was the best with the platinum,x7,m5,cx,fs and so on series of drums. With the platinum being the same quality of the performance series which came out right after the platinums were discontinued. All that to say the older pdp stuff just sounds better to me. Hard rock American maple over the European maple they use now. They don’t have the same dw sound and feel as the old stuff.

I bought the performance series cause I got the 6 piece with the snare for 1400$ 1000$ off flash deal musicians friend a year ago. I’ve played the pdp concept but I like the performance series but for the money u can’t go wrong with the pdp if u don’t have about 2000$ for the performance when it’s not on sale lol

He's using Evans G2 on the ton tops. And G1 on tom bottoms. Snare batter is a Evans Ganera HD. Snare bottom is a Evans Hazy 300. For kick batter is a Evans EQ2. Kick resonant side is a regular pdp head.

no offences the concept series sound are good .. but i a little bit disappoint with the hardware and the tom ring and lugs... they are not reliable .. broke a 14 inch tom lugs less than a year...but trust me the sound are amazing ... i using G2 evans coated skin

Not really a good demonstration of both kits. We get to hear a single flam on floor tom on isolated portion of Performance demo, and virtually every tom on isolated portion of Concept demo. Oh well, great drumming and great drums no matter which you go with!
