Phew, tomorrow is 45 days. First time being sober in my adult life at 29. Literally got a promotion a month after quitting drinking, saving money, getting back into old hobbies, feeling healthier. I'm done playing life on hard mode, my worst day sober is better than my best day using.

One day at a time. The feeling that no one around me understands or gets it is very prevalent. I have everything going for me in life, if I could just be fucking sober my life would be absolutely amazing right now. Day 1 of sobriety came after an 8 day binge and woke up crying and finally the thought of suicide turned into actually planning it. By the grace of God I picked up the phone and finally told my parents what was going on. Spent the week with them before checking into rehab for 2 months. So thankful I didnt go through with it and for anyone out there reading this who is suffering from this just know that your life means something and that there is a way out of it. Stay here with us just a little longer and tell someone what youre going through and ask for help. It isnt easy, I know. You are not the mistakes youve made or the lies that have been told about you.

I’m going through day one right now. Had some family/relationship stuff happen and I turned to coke. Which has always been my least favorite out of all the drugs. By far the worst cost to benefit/feeling ratio. I might have done it for a month solid, not nearly as much as this guy but I have today and the next couple of days off. I honestly think the vast majority of this guys issues where alcohol withdrawal just bc it’s so dangerous. I’m not having a blast don’t get me wrong, but I’m gonna make myself workout and do the sauna, allow myself to eat as much as I want as long as it’s real food. Taking all my vitamins and minerals, including some that will help with my detox. My faith is a major factor. Every now and then people dig a hole and have to crawl out of it. I’m going to be okay and so will you! I’m worried I fried my dopamine receptors but regardless I have to set a new baseline even if it’s low at the beginning.

I have a question for you I'm a new subscriber. I've been watching a lot of your videos. As a cocaine addict 30 years ago how did you get through an 8-ball in one day and still be able to breathe? I only stopped when there was no way to breathe because my nose was completely swollen. Eventually, the cocaine formed a hole in my septum. And yes I tried all the tricks of the trade to continue to try and snort coke more cocaine. But when my nose was done I was done for the day. I didn't sleep well that night because I always had snot blowing out of my nose all night long. That part was miserable. This is an honest question and I am very curious. The people I partied with could not do more than I could. I am blessed to have so many years behind me from that mess and I am grateful that I have a pretty good life now. Blessings to you from Grandma Gia in the Ozarks

@james_daniels Жыл бұрын
That’s just what can happen after 30 years of coke use. Your nose is shot. You can’t really boof or eat coke. For some reason that’s super dangerous. It’s safer for some reason to inject it. Which I’d never suggest doing. The only other thing you can do is smoke it. Which doesn’t always work very well with street coke. Charlie sheen was smoking rocks of coke but I’m assuming he was getting pretty pure stuff. I would suggest trying to get clean now.

I just started day three of abstinence after being a heavy daily drinker for years. My first day was equally a nightmare. my body shook so much I could not walk without holding onto something like the wall. Day two sucked but not as bad. I had a very difficult time walking and I still needed two hands to drink a water bottle. Today is not as bad as I can walk and now actually type but my hands are still shaky. I am worried about the DT's as I heard they come on around day three. I have quit alcohol on many occasions but I never experienced this hell before.

Dude, this scared me enough to really consider taking action and to put myself in the right place. Drinking has no health benefits and ive seen countless men fall victim to the trap. Almost every smart person ive met says its completely bad for a habbit. I dont like aa and am better than that. I leave it there, be careful guys, have fun.

I recently drank for three days and by the third day I was so over it. I was drinking gluten free alcohol and had two shots of yager. Ugh still not good and still so toxic for me. I've seen old men in wheel chairs with their skin falling off...one guy just held the bottle so no one would take it away but it was so disgusting I'll never forget that guy. I have bad anxiety, social anxiety, and depression too. It’s sucks. Big reason of why I used opioids and drank. To calm down and feel better. To calm down the bad thoughts that I was worthless and the major panic inside my mind and body. Before that I had a big weed habit. Which is nothing compared to booze and opioids. I’d rather never touched anything else and kept struggling to quit weed than ever touching the hard stuff and alcohol. Congratulations if you’ve been clean. Sober is so much better.

Why is talking about drugs so interesting? I love alcohol but I’ve never been dependent on it thank god. But I love the feeling it gives me. I love the burning in the stomach, the taste, the smell, the fumes, the sluggish happy feeling. It’s just amazing. It’s amazing that humans could discover a liquid that comes from rotting fruit and drink it, just to find out that it gives you this feeling. It can be horrible but there’s also benefits from drinking. The way it digests food and flushes it from your system better than any laxative haha. Or the way it relaxes you so well that you can fall asleep without realizing it, which can be dangerous if your not careful. The way it loosens up your body and makes you want to smoke more and eat more. I remember nights when I would buy a whole pizza with buffalo ranch sauce with a pint of whiskey and eat the whole fucking thing while watching a movie by myself, not thinking about anything important. It was like heaven on earth.
