I love bottle digging videos. I'm currently making my own. Usually I'm diving but fighting an ear injury so I'm land based. Really enjoyed this mate.

I think you had some great finds again today. I’d definitely be interested in seeing you cutting the tops off some of the bottles.

I must say you do a fabulous job of cleaning your finds. The bottles look like jewels on the turntable. :D Thanks for your effort on this one, and I look forward to the next. Warm regards from Canada.

Nice video unfortunately too many broken beers. How is it that most slick and sauce bottles survive, but the ones you really want are always broken. Go figure. I have the stopper that fits to your Eno's Fruit Salt. Do you have one? I love it when you give us information about some of the bottles you find. Knowledge is power! Hopefully next week your your finds will be whole. Take care and be safe.

Thanks Debra, that's the way it goes sometimes. I forgot that I walked up a mountain that morning so that's why I was quite worn out 😂 I have found many stoppers but actually never one for the Enos fruit salt yet but maybe if I am lucky one day I will. I quite enjoy the researching too it is fascinating, there is so much more I wanted to put in but I didn't want to drag it out too much, just the main bits 👍 Thanks again 🙂

@@VintageParagonUk if you want it I will mail it to you? Just give me the dimensions of the top of the bottle to make sure it's the correct one. It is wider than normal if I'm correct.

@@debraporch7888 Thank you that is very kind of you but I really enjoy the finding part of the hobby and I am sure I will find one at some point as they don't seem too uncommon 🙂

09:25 My guess is that's part of a wig curler, Ed. I forget which mudlarkers I follow found similar items. You can probably find examples online. :)

oh maybe, did they have holes through the middle though?
@noraleestone28593 жыл бұрын
@@VintageParagonUk I don't know about the holes, but I Googled wig curlers, & they are made out of clay, usually white or light coloured.

I still remember my grandfather telling me that when the coca was removed from Coca Cola it lost it's taste. Then it was just "fizzy brown water", he still put Navy Rum in it, dreadful stuff, but it wasn't like the old days he said, not the same zip. Well I guess so, would have had quite a zip! Sad about the broken bottles but the colours are still lovely!
@VintageParagonUk3 жыл бұрын
Your grandfather sounds like he enjoyed the zip 😂 I am glad you enjoyed it 😊

@@VintageParagonUk A set of bookends, perhaps?
@jimmyrustler89833 жыл бұрын
They loved their drugs back in the day! People often find tubes of Pervitin at WW2 dig sites, which were issued to BW troops and Conscripts. It was basically pure meth, in pill form. 🤣 Mrs Winslows was basically just Laudanum, too. Horrible stuff, that.... Edit; that split Codd would make for a cool pair of bookends 🤙
@VintageParagonUk3 жыл бұрын
Interesting stuff, do you think it would still be as potent after all these years or would it have broken down a bit into component chemicals? asking for a friend 😂
@jimmyrustler89833 жыл бұрын
@@VintageParagonUk I've heard of meth addicts drinking their own pee and getting high off of it a 2nd time round, as it doesn't fully metabolize in the body. And if German manufacturing quality dictates anything, those pervitin pills would be fine to eat out of the ground 🤣
