Lost my hearing on right ear a year ago. I have never been brave enough to wear a cochlear implant because I am studying medicine and I am afraid of my future patients' possible reactions if they see me wearing an implant. After watching this video I still don't want to wear the cochlear implant because I am convinced that it is not suitable for my future profession but you are a very brave person and I believe you will inspire many people around the world. Thanks for this interview.

Why would you think that? Most people don't even know what a cochlear implant is, tbh. I highly doubt your patients would judge you as most of them would probably think you are wearing a pager or some other communcation device. Also it is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of!

As a professional violinist in my 60s, I am headed toward a cochlear implant. This is terrifying to me because the violinist creates every pitch and quality of tone for every single note. I play in orchestras and I teach. In your video, I noticed the one violin in a short clip was actually playing out of tune.
