Regina Presley, Au.D, FAAA, CCC/A and Sr. Cochlear Implant Audiologist at Great Baltimore Medical Center shares her experience with Cochlear’s latest innovation in Connected Care: Remote Check.
Remote Check is a at-home, clinician-enabled testing tool that allows recipients with a Cochlear™ Nucleus® 7 or Kanso®2 Sound Processor to complete a series of hearing tests from a compatible smartphone using the Nucleus Smart App.* Remote Check is designed to provide a snapshot of a patient’s hearing health so you can quickly determine whether a patient is on track or whether further clinical intervention may be required.**
According to Dr. Presley, “Remote Check is a wonderful way to monitor daily performance, stay connected to patients and give them timely service without even having them come into the office. It has been a game-changer.”
Cochlear implant recipients, Dottie and Elena share their real experiences with Remote Check and how they have benefitted from the technology. Elena speaks to the convenience of being able to take the test from home without missing school while Dottie expresses confidence knowing that she is able to maintain the connection with her doctor from anywhere.
