Cockapoo Grooming One Length All Over
In this video I demonstrate how to clip a Cockapoo one length all over including the head and ears.
I used a #0 clip on comb over a 30 blade. Any sized blade can be used depending on your preference.
I start behind the (occiput) which is right behind the skull and work my way down the back towards the tail, I then go down the rib cage and then go down the legs and throat.
The head is last clipping down the ears, cheeks and face and top of head.
Scissors are used to take off any stick outs. The ears are scissored around the edges and the eyebrows are taken short. The face is last to finish. Comb the hair on the muzzle forward and take off the hair that sticks out in front of nose.

I have watched a few videos and I love how you work with the dog. Other ones have made me most uncomfortable about how they handled the dog. Some dogs move around more then others. This dog was was groomed starting at the age of 8 weeks old and was a 4 week schedule so he was used to it.

I tried this today with my 6-pound toy poodle Logan, but it did not go well. We had a difference of opinion. I was of the opinion he needed a haircut, he was of the opinion that cutting his back is ok, but leave my legs alone. His teeth and claws helped make his position on the matter very clear. He won, and now he has long hair on his legs but short hair on his back.

I love this tutorial, it’s the best one I’ve seen..... not that I can actually do any of it to my dog though.... I have a ten year old Moodle and she hates being groomed and will bite, in fact she is so bad that no local groomer will do her, I have to take her to the vets where they first sedate then groom her.

WOW, that dog was so well behaved. I am not sure my "leo" ....Sir Bark-a-Lot, will ever be that good. I have been cutting him with Japanese Scissors (the whole kit) I think it takes too long and he will only stand for me for a very short time. He can be difficult, as he is very spoilt.
