Cockatiel is too heavy for bamboo stem

When my birbs eat too much food, seeds and beans they become extra chonk and might weight too much for thin bamboo tree!
My trained cockatiels free fly every day it's possible, they are hand reared and trained since very young chicks.
Cockatiel training is vital as well as gaining your cockatiel trust.
Never try to cockatiel free flight or any other parrot without prior intensive training, not just recall indoor.

I start to make them comfortable with the outside since very young, while teaching them recall with a loud whistle. Cockatiels are probably the hardest parrots to free fly in the long them, they are the most fearful and probably the fastest, so it's easy that one time they get spooked and fly out of their known area in moments. In my case I think that living in a place with few obstacles to the sight, in the country, with a lot of cockatiels always calling in the yard helps immensely

Hi, I think bamboo should be safe in general but I don't know the species of mine, it's just wild bamboo. But if you want to make perches for the birds it's not very good as it doesn't offer a good grip
