By canceling 3 cocktails parties she is not following this process of falling in love which requires her to get to know ALL the men to learn more about each of them and find the most compatible. When Chris came in and told the guys that there would not be a cocktail party and going straight to the rose ceremony for the third time the guys were mad. Luke got a rose only because he told Hannah that he would try harder. I don't think Luke wants them to have the party because Hannah would be talking to the other guys and he doesn't want her talking to anyone but her. I really dislike this guy so much.
