We love to make our own spa treatments. It's so fun to take every day ingredients and turn them into something special. Here's a fun spa treatment that will take us right through summer: Coconut And Lime DIY Footscrub! This spa craft is so easy to make. And if you want to give it as a gift, we've got a label you can download and print.
Coconut Lime Foot Scrub: How To Make DIY Foot Scrub
Coconut And Lime DIY Footscrub Recipe
3/4 Cup coconut oil (melt in microwave)
2 Cups sea salt or Kosher salt
3 TBSP Vitamin E oil
10-20 drops lime essential oil
Steps To Make Coconut And Lime DIY Footscrub
1. Measure 3/4 cups coconut oil into a microwavable bowl or Pyrex measuring cup. Heat it a little at a time in the microwave until liquid. Pour into the mixing bowl.
2. Add 2 cups of sea salt or Kosher salt into the bowl. Both are great exfoliants for feet!
3. Add 3 Tablespoons Vitamin E oil. Vitamin E oil is a terrific moisturizer. Blend ingredients together.
4. Stir in 10 - 20 drops of the lime essential oil. So refreshing!
5. Spoon the Coconut And Lime DIY Footscrub into a jar.

Download the label by right-clicking. Print it out on cardstock and cut it out. You will want to laminate it to protect it from the oils in the scrub. To do this, cover the front with clear packing tape. Overlap two pieces of tape to make it wide enough. Then cover the back. Cut the "laminated" label out, but leave about a 1/8" border all the way around the label. Attach the label to the lid of the jar with double-stick tape.

I wish there was smell-o-vision! I’m new to your channel and am LOVING it! So much inspiration. This might be a great holiday gift for the 20 people at my work. 7 are male though and I’m not sure about them. If I do this, do y’all think sandalwood essential oil? Or what other scents?

I have a question about the label process. did you try mod podge? I'm just curious what else you may have tried other than the faux laminating.

Great question Mary-Ann! We did not try Mod Podge for this, but Mod Podge is not entirely waterproof. Even Outdoor Mod Podge has limits to how much water exposure it can withstand. Another option would be clear enamel sealer. Hope that helps! J&K

Hi Norma! You can use any essential oils. They come in all kinds of amazing scents! Look for them at health food stores, craft stores, or Amazon. J&K

We got the coconut oil at Big Lots. It's pretty cheap there. You can also find it at the grocery store. Hope that helps! J&K
