Hi Jasma, can you advise, my dough during kneading, it keeps getting stickier and stick to hand, as a result i have to use quite some flour to reduce the stickines.. I can't knead until a smooth dough like yours. Steaming time is 25 min.

Hi Jasma! Should you steam the snow skin for 25 minutes on high or medium heat? I can't find this recipe described in your blog. In the Purple Snow Skin Mooncakes recipe, that's about all the ingredients, and it says to steam it on medium heat for 30-35 minutes. For this coconut snow skin recipe, you say 25 minutes, but Google doesn't translate for me whether it's on high heat or low heat. I'm also writing this with the translator, I hope I can formulate my question well.
@JasmaFusionCuisine2 жыл бұрын
medium heat! but the time may vary for you so just check it after 25 minutes and add more time if needed.

Hi Jasma , your video is excellent and I want to try . May I know how long I should keep the dough in fridge before I start to make the snowy moon cake ? Thanks Jasma
@JasmaFusionCuisine4 жыл бұрын
Thank you Jeanie! Try chilling it for a minimum of 1 hr 30 mins, but even longer would be better. Hope everything goes well!
@jeanielouie23384 жыл бұрын
Thanks Jasma for your prompt reply . I did it yesterday and put at fridge for only 20 mins so it was still very sticky and the result was unsatisfactory. Can I put the dough overnight then ? Sorry for asking so many questions as I really want to make the same result as yours !!! I am the pink lover also 😁
@JasmaFusionCuisine4 жыл бұрын
Now worries at all! 20 mins is definitely not enough....yes you can totally make it ahead of time and chill overnight, if might become a little too stiff though so you'll just have to knead it a little to soften it up before shaping.
