I wonder if this was the inspiration for "Fox Force Five" in Pulp Fiction, though an MST3K website I remember claimed that "Fox Force Five" was a reference to Angels' Brigade/Angels' Revenge.

When he left the project, it was converted to a TV series with Chapman and Dial assigned since each were producers for Universal Television.
