Code Vein DLC In 2024.

Oooo the Hellfire Knight is a Hannibal from God Eater! Makes sense given it's the same team but interesting they would use his skeleton/model but "Code Vein"-ify it. Though as I understand the other two DLC bosses are also just actual Aragami from God Eater so makes sense~

@AriezPlays You 100% should. I absolutely love the series so much. God Eater Resurrection is the first game but remade so highly recommend that one to start with though it was made ironically AFTER God Eater 2 Rage Burst so it's actually faster and more coherent than it is albeit otherwise GE2 is a HUGE step up from GEB ( God Eater Burst ). Then personally GE3 is peak in all regards. It's not perfect as nothing is but so fun and the characters even more so. All the games tend to go on a deep sale quite often so the price entry is quite low to boot. Tons of vale there when the opportunity arises.

@@orben-amos6172 Oh yeah I know. That's why outside of the barrier there's Aragami rampaging like the Dyas Pita. Makes it very interesting wished it were expanded upon further beyond what we have currently with GE1-3.

well the Abyssal Doppelganger doesn't have a phase that becomes difficult to deal damage and instead he keeps changing between physical and gift, when he is on physical his armor goes pretty high but his resistance to gifts goes down and the opposite when using gifts. also good luck with Hellfire Knight specially when he pulls that sword

Some help for the DLC. Whenever you hitconfirm, you can hold block to autocancel into a guard if an attack is going to hit you. When you stagger an opponent, you can quick-veil (R1+X) to get 2 ichor and a big toss, even on big opponents. You can just knock opponents off cliffs and not have to worry about them. The focus stamina regeneration ability is stupidly overpowered. When blocking, you cannot be one-shot. Period. If you have any armor on, the math will not let you just die.

In these areas, I always have to use the stealth skill to get back where I was. Saves the time just to get to the main boss of the DLC.

The DLCs are a hit and miss (30% Hit / 70% Miss) with the only thing you'll really get in terms of story is what Jack went through after Operation Queenslayer. All I will say when you eventually reach Lord of Thunder, try not to lose your sanity over the entire area. Its one of the toughest DLCs (in my opinion) with the main boss being an absolute nightmare.

The Hellfire Knight is challenging but the most fair and predictable boss than the other two. It’s attack patterns are easy to learn.

I once beat all the DLC with a partner and a two hand build and it was hard, but I beat them. I have another character with a two hand build ( sword & hammer ) in ng+ where I still have to do the DLC and I am nervous even with a partner 😫🙃

So btw, if something has 20% or more resistance to the element of your weapon buff, then it becomes detrimental. Most enemies in here are weak to ice and resistant to lightning, especially the black knights (but the "Hellfire" boss is weak to lightning, not ice, for some reason).

Fire knights the easiest out of all bosses😂 as a standard tip from someone who’s beat them all with the pipe for the challenge I can sat swap to any claw blood veil and spam the hell out of parry. It’s the most efficient way to do anything as all his attacks have buggy hit boxes to dodge often going further than what they show. Also I’d recommend trying to avoid pole arms for Empress and The lightning boss. For empress the only way to beat it is 1 shot it… unless you want to go through 100s of hitless hours or get lucky with a run… Just a quick tip for the sub bosses. They’re made in a way where you replicate their weapons. So they use Greatsword you should otherwise dmg while there in melee form will be low. As a standard for an idea fire knight with 2x difficulty is about empress level. And empress x2 is lightning boss😮

frozen empress isnt that hard, ive got her down halfway with a one hand sword consistently, you dont NEED a one shot build

@ frozen empress has a move a 1/3 hp that’s insanely buggy. On top of that it has map wide range, furthermore it does a flat 2700hp worth of damage. So you either have no dmg and high hp then get lucky and learn to hitless. Or you oneshot through that possible phase and kill it before it gets to the point of using that attack. So yeah 1shot isn’t needed but is basically the only way to win outside of spend what could be hours learning the movesets as to not get hit and waste heals before 1/3 hp… I should know. I’ve beat all bosses in the game hitless with the pipe of the unrivaled as a challenge run as well as the dlc bosses to even get said pipe
