Knowing your own timings for dodging and the opponent's timings for inflicting damage is the only important part of the game, where getting this down makes the game ridiculously easy. I had so much trouble with the second boss (butterfly looking thing) on my first playthrough but when I ran through the game on solo after playing it through once (I made a second state so started from level 1 again), I just destroyed that boss on my first try. I honestly think Juzo and the Duo boss are the hardest, even when you know the patterns just because the margin for error is so damn small.

Its fun to see these videos, especially since u have't even unlocked even half of what i have(and i'm not near the end). And those red thingies? those u use to see cool background stuff and unlock more gifts for the class in question, so go find them all, couse it will make your expirience far more fun :) Side note, u might wanna drop the parrying and just guard(u know, the normal block) and try to get those sneak attacks off(they also work in combat) for max effect, couse the timing for parrying is so different per blood veil type its hard to get a grip on it.

@DOAMA you have to be trolling.......go use thr estus in any of the darksouls, an eternity. Also counter in any darksouls.....speed and window changes depending on shield class. Again.....go block in any darksouls......most shields don't 100% block, and no weapons do I cant comment on elemental buffs as I only have the one, fire, and it recks most things right now. Upgrading definitely helps, but for blood veils it doesnt affect defense. Makes your drains better

@DOAMA the butterfly isnt really hard just annoying. If you pay attention she has like 4 combos, a dash, a aoe close explosion, and poison mostly poison. She is annoying also she gets really hard in new game+ if your complaining about her now, then i dont know. Also dark souls and code vein may have alot in common but they have different system, lvl cap is 300, blood veils are for gifts, code vein is mostly about story with alittle bit hard diff, they are way more classes in code vein which means more gufts, more gifts equals better builds. Am i saying the game is easy? Kinda but i mostly thought the first playthrough was to enjoy the story more than anything, new game+ gets alot harder and only because everything is harder to kill and your limited to like 3000 something health if your maxed lvl which you can get one shotted very easy. I think the diff scale on new game+ is more higher then dark souls, since dark souls you have to beat the game like 5 times to be able to get even one shotted and thats if you didnt over lvl yourself. This game is nowhere near easy....I've been playing it since it came out, There's a lot of grinding, searching around for all the vestiges to unlock the arts for your blood codes, doing side missions, grinding for materials and haze to upgrade your blood veils and weapons, And you died to the siren, She's literally one of the easier bosses

I didn't feel like I had to grind at all (and I was probably hilariously over-levelled) just playing the game normally (I'm also an idiot and didn't even know you could upgrade weapons through like halfway past that shitty cathedral level), and I didn't even know that finding all the vestiges affected the ending until after I beat the game (with apparently the best ending). Mainly due to the partner system, the levelling being very general rather than specific, and how much haze this game dumps on to you. I've been playing solo without AI or online partner like every Soulsborne, and i've been ripping my hair out (that one's not literal but you get the idea), i've cried and i've raged and gotten stuck completely on a boss twice, while in the demo i actually had Louis in the Depths cause i didn't know i could ditch him back then, still got stuck and kept getting obliterated by the Knight boss, in fact i never beat him i just gave up. So im calling bullshit on people who say this game is easy, can't imagine i'd have had a that much easier time even if i didn't solo play, for the record im a hypocrite for not watching the video but im just calling this out in general, as for the Depths yes they are easy so far from what i've played but im pretty sure they're optional, every Soulborne has broken or easy ways to crush the game they're not as hard as everyone says sure but they are decently hard in my opinion.

This game was intended to be played through with the NPC's. Single player experience is more challenging, but I would still agree that it's easier than "Soulsborne" games, at least so far in my solo playthrough (three bosses down). The boss mechanics are decent though, from the little I've seen. But yeah mobbing is very easy, especially with all the tools at our disposal from cross-classing and drain attacks.

"it's too easy *looks prestine*" ....... *i look at Louis sweating like mad and tired as hell with next to no health or heals left with a giant stone with "playthrough" on his back* ..... sure... seriously though, this game has two modes. easy and hard. there is no middle ground. it's easy with companion. hard without. cause i will tell you right the feck now, this game loves just throwing hordes at you. like you go down a passage, find a white item, pick it up for like a ichor inducer then the words "a lost comes" appear, you turn around, and there are like 5 big bois running at you looking to beat that ass. and having a cmopanion (Yukamo being OP as all feck, tanky as hell and hits like a truck. or a future companion who's magic is too damn strong) while there are certain encounters (and one specific enemy) i count as total bullshit and just bad game design, over all this is a really enjoyable game. and great for anyone looking to get into the souls-esc type of game due to the AI partner. if you still make mistakes you have a safety net, but you cant jsut rush in without a care because their revive has a pretty long cooldown, so you learn the basics of learning enemy patterns and attacks, stamina management etc in a "safe" enviroment, letting you get the basics down pretty well. course this could also make you start having bad habits (like just block and let the AI do the work as you tank) but those would be beaten out of you either by other games, or by going through the game again but without a companion. all in all, it's a great game and the story is better than most would lead you to believe (it's not an AMAZING story, but it's sure as shit better than a lot of bullshit nowadays, not saying much i know)

If there is one of the few bosses that literally gave me rage it's the Ice Berserkers in the Depths. Facing 2 of them was so rage inducing. The only way to kill them was literally to kill them as quick as you can before they reach the second stage.

You forgot the Prayer Shawl. Its a hood that is the new blood veil you can get. I call it the "King" blood veil, given that you can summon giant swords from the ground and you gain a crown everytime you backstab, parry, or just use its ability. Its in that area.

It will become stupidly easy if you do this. Master all the beneficial passive buffs,pick one suited bloodcode, level up to 100 above and partner with yakumo and activate the team trait. Even the final boss is cheese
