The sword is fittingly although perhaps surprisingly one of the hardest weapons in the game to master. It is also VERY dependent on skills for damage, so it gets a lot better later in the game when you have higher proficiency with it

Loving the vids afro! One tip though for dealing with most larger Yokai because this is a lifesaver for me, if you break their horns itll deplete their stamina. The best way to do this is to just go into high stance and mollywhop them. That stance gives you the best chance with whatever weapon you're using to attack high enough to get the horn. 👌

The first region is BY FAR the hardest. You already got the hang of abusing OP feral i-frames and using yokai abilities. You gonna coast through this game. Just do yourself a favor, get your stamina stat up and equip some heavy armor while maintaining B agility. You don't need to use full heavy armor, just as many pieces as you can manage. Seriously makes the game way way easier. Something like 20-30 points in stam will be super useful.

Hey Afro another reason why yo meter for stamina going down fast is Bc of your weight the more heavy stuff u have on the quicker your meter go down less heavy stuff u have on the less your meter gonna be used up another thing u could do is go to your stats and put your stats points towards your encumbrance then u can hold heavy stuff without your meter going down so fast wen u play

I hope afro sees this but here are some tips that will make the first few regions somewhat easier on you - in the shiftling skill tree there are skills that speed up ki recovery when you are in a dark realm or yokai realm - You can ki pulse and switch stance at the same time. Personally I like to use high stance for offense, Ki pulse and then switch to low stance to dodge attacks - There are skills that make you do a ki pulse when you dodge in the samurai skill tree for each stance, get these as soon as possible - if you feel like you fucked up with investing skill points you can go to the dojo and reset them by pressing Triangle - Be sure to explore all the stages thoroughly and find all the Kodoma they give you boosts such as more exp, higher weapon drop rate, elixer drop rate etc - Onmyo magic and Ninjutsu (especially Ninjutsu) are crazy strong and can give you a lot of skills that will make going through stages easier - If you find a treasure chests and it has 3 golden arrows on it instead of 2 it means that its a mimic, if you whistle the mimic will appear without fighting you. It will then proceed to do a emote and if you copy it correctly he drops items without having to fight it. - If you find a wall with eyes you have 2 chances to pick the right emote, if you pick the wrong emote twice it'll get pissed off and fight you. If you get the right emote he will let you pass to a secret area that usually leads to a new entrance or hot springs where you can heal for free as many times as u want - Do all the side missions because sometimes they will give you a new guardian spirit that you can use - Guardian spirits give certain boosts and effects depending on how high certain stats are, you can look it up at the guardian spirit section when you go to a shrine

So you asked about those green kodama dudes at one point and they should give you buffs that you can equip at the shrine. Buffs like extra money, higher chance to find weapons, and higher chance to find elixirs in loot are some of them. Find kodama, go to shrine, and equip their bonuses.

Okay Afro. You don’t need to look at your stamina bar to ki pulse. There’s a light signal around your body that appears when full pulse is ready. Nioh is less about paying attention to status than being proactive about them and remembering their triggers. The more time you take to check on yourself the more opportunities there are to die. The whole point of the visual triggers is to avoid death by looking at stamina bars and status effects. 1-2 hits, take an elixir unless u got gud. Dish out 1-3 hits, pause briefly then continue your assault, the ki pulse needs a moment so it doesn’t get cut off. Also if u running a sword build master that parry and sword draw or you’re fucked lmaooo. Remember Man U see a white flicker around your body hit that ki pulse button. Don’t even think about looking at the bar it wastes time that you could be putting into dodging. I believe there is also a skill you can learn to ki pulse while u dodge.
