I think it is something they learn in jail/prison. Criminals are smart enough to adapt and behave in ways to make them look like a victim.. and the absolute best outcome for them is a law enforcement officer that loses their cool... since it can be played up in court. This is why the LEOs here keep their cameras on and are extremely calm... and the verbalize when he is resisting so that it is obvious what is going on. Personally, I think the use of physical force for resisting should be higher than allowed.. but in the stupid society we live in it would just make more problems than it solves. And note here, I'm not suggesting guns for simple resisting.. I'm just saying that sometimes you have to treat people like little kids and get their attention so that they understand they could get hurt if they keep resisting. The arrest simply isn't going to go away because they don't like it.

Not sure you'd see any patience had bystanders not been recording. Cameras drastically alter police behavior. One of the dirty little not-so-secret secrets of the criminal justice system is undercover narcotics officers intentionally lying under oath. Yet another perversion of the American justice system that strikes directly at the rule of law. Yet it is the routine way of doing business in courtrooms everywhere in Amerika.

This is legitimately a dangerous way to react for a few reasons! 1- It raises everyone’s blood pressure & the cops adrenaline might start pumping. Escalating a situation like this is a dangerous path for everyone there. The more chaotic the situation, the more likely it is that terrible mistakes could be made. 2. Screaming that you’re being abused & harassed to bystanders (when you’re NOT being abused harassed) could trigger bystanders stepping in , putting them in danger as well as even more escalation & adrenaline. 3. This behavior pattern is becoming more & more common. The “Boy Who Cried Wolf” syndrome! Cops, bystanders & the public watching body cam footage will become unaffected by it. So if a situation arises where there is actual police brutality, everyone will just roll there eyes and say “here we go again! Another bad actor”

Everyone who is taken in on a warrant knows what it is for....but they think if they play innocent victim the cops will go away. So they repeat themselves ad nauseam trying to get out of being taken in. Maybe they think if they drive the officer nuts they will let them go just to be away from the constant whining.

@@ronniemartin5088 yes true, I’ve had multiple warrants in my life… Mine were mostly from missed court dates but even months later I knew the police would arrest me if they ever caught me. If anyone has warrants they don’t know about it’s either because they commit so much crime they wouldn’t know, or they’re so stupid they forgot something so important.

I ran out of gas after working a night shift at the hospital. Not only did the cops help me get out of traffic..they never even asked for a license. It's all in your demeanor. Her not even acknowledging the cop trying to make conversation immediately put the cop on the defense.
@bertmaclen6585 Жыл бұрын
They still ran your license plate, so they most likely didn’t need your license because they knew who you were already. Trust me cops run plates if they can before any interaction unless they are not on shift and just wanna get home.

Agree they do run plates b4 a interaction, if nothing else but 4 safety. If they run the plate they can know if u have a conceal carry permit, active warrants, have history of violence or resisting arrest. I bet 98% of the time cops run plates b4 EVERY interaction with citizens.

I was thinking of that too, because I was driving my dad's car that morning, had they run the plate and saw it came back to a 75 yr. old man with a different last name they would have asked for paperwork. That is only an assumption though

I can't help but feel sorry for these people. Even if they did wrong, they suffer too. We should all have more empathy for our fellow human beings and avoid mocking them whenever possible.
