On August 21, 2022, a 26-year-old man lead law enforcement on a 28-mile-long chase across Fond du Lac County in Wisconsin. Several tire deflation devices were deployed but were ineffective. The suspect driver displayed very erratic driving behavior throughout the pursuit and reached speeds of 130 mph. Eventually, they began driving into oncoming traffic nearly striking multiple vehicles head-on.
The purpose of the featured content is to show the law enforcement interaction. It is NOT to publicly shame, ridicule, or degrade the individuals involved. Today’s world is swarmed with politics and conversations that are often misleading about our law enforcement officers. We feel it is vastly significant and imperative to show these interactions in their respective environments to inform and educate the overall public.

Those SUV patrol units are nowhere as quick or fast as the 1994 - 1996 Caprice 9C1 which had the same LT-1 engine as the rear wheel drive 1996 Impala SS. Those cars were capable of a 158 mph top speed. I know this as a matter of fact. Since I once topped mine out at 158 mph.

Its not THAT bad. I once was driving near Bellingham Wa when 4 high school chearleaders came around a curve in my lane, over the double yellow line, tryng to pass a line of dump trucks over 60mph each. As we passed each other, only INCHES apart, the rear passengers were crawling over their seats to take the wheel. The driver was frozen shitless, white knuckle clutching the wheel going straight. Time slowed down for those passengers who were screaming at the driver. They looked at me while I smiled back. They passed the dump trucks and returned to the right lane. Bet they learned their lesson what double yellow lines mean and why they are not just a "suggestion".

Yeah, but at least the bail amount in Wisconsin is more harsh that you'd think. For the record, poison ivy is a plant which you get a rash from by rubbing or brushing the leaves, stems, and even iirc the roots of the plant have it. The oil is euruchiol and is hard to remove. You must do so with soap and cold water immediately after touching as hot water softens and opens the skin up allowing it to soak in more of the oil.

Like props to the guy for being a good co worker but if your gonna be a cop, it’s not just “I wanna help people or I think it’s cool” you have to understand what your getting yourself into. Is it normal for cops to just leave equipment like stop sticks laying around?
@TheRealBDouble
@TheRealBDouble Жыл бұрын
@@GeminiRainbow Typically no, but stuff like stop sticks, it depends on the department's policy, I imagine. Some departments will want the officer to collect the stop sticks immediately regardless of whether or not the deployment is successful. Others will allow the officer that deployed the sticks to continue the pursuit, but radio where they left the sticks so another officer can pick them up. Typically they'll throw them off to the side of the road or in the ditch and another nearby officer will get them. If an officer has a successful deployment, they'll usually stay behind and collect them as it's only a matter of time before the suspect's vehicle becomes completely disabled. If the deployment is unsuccessful, the officer may leave them for another to collect as they want to get back into the chase as quickly as possible.

Crazy thing is that at some point because of the high speed the police decided to stop pursuit...if that idiot stopped driving the wrong way and causing more people to continue to call the police detailing where he was....he might have gotten away with it.

Suspect: “Is it going to be a high bond?” Police: “There’s a few changes here.” EXTREMELY professional police. This made me proud to be an American.

I think many, if not most, fleeing drivers end up with very high adrenaline levels triggering the “fight or flight” response. In that mindset, they can’t think with the same logic that people normally are able to use. They are much more likely to take risks because they think that they have to in order to survive. This does not excuse the behavior one bit! But it does explain why suspects take risks that they might not normally do. The police were very well trained to make sure that this did not happen to them.

6:53 "Good, baby. Doing good." When you're in such a high-stress situation you forget you're talking to a colleague and not your girlfriend XD Still very heartening and encouraging to see this teamwork and how well the training officer handled both the chase but also his trainee's well-being. Calm and measured. Good job!

I take it from the conversation this may be the officer's first time driving during a high speed chase - and they did incredibly well, responded to instruction and kept that car on the road in high speeds. I'm impressed - they had to be so tense.

Its like listening to a dad teach his son how to drive for the first time. Very wholesome moment lol 🖤 That cop clearly cares about his partner.
