Cat for Egypt was a fantastic idea. They literally worshipped cats. Egyptair as a clue when Cat was the bad card is ridiculous.

Jvckk was right, Cat was completely safe, but Africa was too hot given all prior information. she could have said any other African airline and it would have presented better against the strong evidence that Africa was probably a blue clue or at the very least allowed them to avoid Cat and lose with dignity.

The funny thing about doing hints like "Construction 3" for 3 hints is the guessers are more like to get them all rather than a single "Construction 9"; that's when the guesses get off the rail.

These were some of the funniest rounds of Codenames I’ve seen! I know they were stressful to watch play out live, but knowing how everything ended up makes all these events so much more hilarious a second time, lol. The first round mini-yell by Ze seemed a prelude for the chaos to come and what chaos that was! Watching Spymaster Ze decide clues while predicting how they might throw off his team, and then watching said team immediately fall for what he predicted might happen, was so freaking funny, lol. It was especially tragic in the end how Ari seemed to figure out the intention of the clues but then was talked down by Jack, whose sense of logic is just incompatible with Ze’s it seems, lol. I also felt for Br00d, who was doing his best and should be proud of how well he did! When he figured out the Tipi=Toilet Paper=Cylinder clue I considered that a spiritual victory for Ze’s team, lol. Good job Br00d, you get Ze more than Jack does! XD The final round played out so differently than I expected since I thought for sure that Africa was a clue for the other team the whole time. It wasn’t until Ari’s last clue that I changed my mind, but I completely understand why they were hesitant to click it… if only they had resisted Jack’s logic and stuck with Ze’s, lol. I suppose ending it all with the bomb was the only way to conclude a session this insane! I hope when you manage to lower your blood pressure a bit, you play another round of Codenames with all these great people, Ze!

Pepper shaker = "not a cylinder"? Huh? Every salt and pepper shaker I've ever seen have always been designed as a matched set. The most basic / generic design for them is a cylinder (although some weird novelty ones might be shaped like animals or whatever), with the differences between them being the color of the cap (pepper usually gets a darker color) and the number of holes in the cap (pepper tends to have less holes so less comes out because you don't want to overdo it with that stuff).

I just have to say this: Venezuela for Revolution, Shop, Gas, Smuggler and Snap. The Venezuela revolution involved the US participating in the drug smuggling, just so we could get Venezuelan gas over Russia. The US also invested in a lot of Venezuelan businesses (shops). All of this as a snap, rash decision. A snapshot into the redscare. Snap is my long-shot

28:00 I personally wouldn't want to stay in Scandinavia for a few reasons. They socially prioritize, and maintain, being the "happiest" nations in the world which causes a lot of citizens some undue stress and hardship. For instance, if you are feeling discontent with the circumstances you're dealt by being born there, you have no social outlet, at least not one locally and readily accessible. Thus, for this reason, and many others, suicide has been on the rise in these nations. Other reasons for people to be discontent include, but not limited to, the obvious frigid weather at times, insanely high taxes, poor healthcare system, etc. If you are Scandinavian, I would love to hear how well you like living there and some of the pros and cons you've experienced personally. I've only barely touched the surface and am interested in learning more in-depth about the culture(s) of the region.

Sure thing. Norwegian guy here. First off, being "the happiest" isn't something we think or really care about. If you are depressed or in other ways unhappy and/or close to suicide, you get professional help, paid by the goverment. If you lose your job, you get money while searching for a new job. The weather can be harsh, and our winters can be a frozen hell, but when you are used to it, it really aint that bad. Our taxes are high, but so is our income. Although right now because of Covid and whats happening in Ukraine, electricity is over 300% of normal, gas prices about 50% above normal and food 30%. The goverment do help tho with the electricity bills and pays 90% of what is above the normal prize. I would say we have the best healthcare. Its basically free. No need for medical insurance or any of that. And that's both physical and mental health. I like living in Norway, and the biggest draw for me is the free healthcare, free education, the beautiful landscape, and general safety. There are of course alot that could be better, but I don't think Norwegians have too much to complain about. I recommend watching a few videos about Norway. Start with our prisons. If you haven't seen it, trust me. Its gonna blow your mind 🙂

Danish guy here. I don't really think we prioritise being the happiest either. Like, we think it's kind of funny when we duke it out with Finland for the first place because I honestly can't think of two nations in non-Eastern Europe where people smile less. I guess Sweden maybe? We are very content, but not very happy. Like, you won't ever see a lot of ecstatic or even smiling Danes on the street for half the week, until it gets to around Thursday when people start drinking. But that's pretty much the end of where we differ from Norway and Sweden. -We drink more and more liberally: Like, we have no minimum drinking age, only a law against buying alcohol if you are under 16 and hard liquor if are under 18. Most people I know started drinking when they were 13-14. And we are not talking about the kind that Southern Europe does, where you get a glass of wine at the dinner table. Nah, we are talking binge drinking. This is, incidentally, also around the age where a lot of kids lose their virginity, which they are legally allowed to at the age of 15. Combine this with a pretty active nudist culture and porn being legal since the late 60s and you can imagine we find the Anglosphere to be eccentrically prudish. But besides those things, we are also generally quite low energy and have pretty tight boundaries of normalcy because, for most of our history, people lived in small villages where it was important for everyone to be reliable and available whenever work needed to be done, otherwise, they might literally starve to death in winter; in other words: people had to act normal and like usual. For instance, being too happy is a sign of something weird going on and not to be trusted. I honestly think that is the real reason why we have so many cases of depression and related mental illnesses, and also why we are generally pretty intolerant when it comes to strangers or foreigners. Our culture does not encourage excellence or diversity at all but rather derides it. It's almost never straight-up racism, sexism, or nationalism that brings a Dane to bigotry. It's when people, in their eyes, act like they don't respect the countless unspoken rules that have ingrained themselves in our little mini-societies; it's not based on looks until a certain number of people with that look act a certain way. Sweden has been trying to contain this dark side of the Scandinavian mentality for a long time, but now it seems like the dam has burst. I'm not happy it happened, but I won't say I didn't expect it to. What you say about our healthcare systems is not true. Unless you are literally the 1% of the 1%, this kind of (universal health care) system is probably better for you. Our systems might not have the money and new technology that the American system has, but that hasn't got anything to do with the system itself: that's just what being embedded in America, the land of the entrepreneurs, vs. being in countries with less than 10 million people in them, is like. So in short, you shouldn't come to Scandinavia expecting everything to be what you expect of a "normal" Western country. In many ways, we also have similarities with a lot of Northern Eastern Europe, but you shouldn't be afraid that things aren't working or running on schedule. We prioritise base functionality very highly, so the streets are generally clean, the trains are on time, taxes are extremely high but are completely streamlined and the money is used very transparently, and, finally, if you break the rules, you'll get a relatively mild but completely inevitable punishment for it. Also, people might not appear friendly, but if you ask them for help, they'll set aside what they are doing until they believe you don't need any more help.

@@rasmusn.e.m1064 Hey thanks for all of this good information! Also, I was hoping my quotations around nd "happiest" would convey that I know it's not actual happiness (not to mention the mental health problems I acknowledged). And I do recognize that Scandinavia as a whole tends to complete at being the most "content" in their lives despite many not actually being content. Regardless, I truly appreciate all this information. It's has really helped me learn a little more about these cultures. Frankly, I believe there is something to be learned from being content with your life and to just be happy with what you have rather than what you don't. However, there's also caveats to that as well. Like you said, people who put up front of happiness despite living in terrible conditions can come off as being disingenuous or even delusional. On the other hand, they may be discontent or disinterested with seemingly everything despite actually living in luxury. In which case, stress/anxiety has probably gotten to them or are very depressed and just need some help but can't admit it due to many reasons. At least that's what I think.
