It would be good to know your thoughts AFTER completing the program. As I do not have a tech background but have plenty of other work experience. I have my thoughts and I don’t think they are as positive as yours. I think it’s a mostly good program with a few quirks. Namely, some concepts are not taught and some of the project data is small or incomplete. I am just starting Immersion Lesson 6. I think I will post my thoughts via KZbin once done because I think anyone considering this needs to be fully informed before spending a good chunk of money. Especially about what they have to do to get their money back if they can’t find a job. There’s a whole set of requirements in the terms and conditions. Not to mention the main mentor is only with you until end of Achievement 6 unless they teach specialization. No more access to the mentor you’ve built a rapport with. Thanks for this video, look forward to a followup!

Damn $7000 for the course? Might as well just pay for WGU for an accelerated degree, get 3-4 valuable market recognized Certifications, a capstone project, and a bachelors degree in the same time span. This program is not worth it IMO.

How do you get a bachelor degree in 10 months?

@@YoungKing50it’s self-paced and you pass courses through competency-based assessments

The thing is WGU doesn’t offer job prep. I have a degree and still struggling getting a job offer
@pluderr39477 ай бұрын
@@Allin1Xavi And the thing is, is that this course that this lady is promoting is not worth it. You really think an employer is going to look at a certificate you took online and say "Yeah, they're a good candidate". No, they probably haven't even heard of the course but they have heard of a "Bachelors Degree". This course is $7,000, WGU is $7,000/year for a degree and multiple certificates.

Just look at the link in her description, "Get 10% off" so if you purchase the course she gets 10% of it. She's not here to help people out, she's here for her own self lol.

hello i want to ask if the mentorship will be lifetime like even you didnt get a job in 180 days?
@randolphpinkle44829 ай бұрын
Not only lifetime, but after 180 days, the mentor will move in with you.
@LoveltLeo6 ай бұрын
The mentorship is not lifetime. It ends depending on which part of the course. I am enrolled now and can give you better insights as you need to plan your time with your mentor well before it ends.

@@LoveltLeohi thank you for sharing. Can you tell me about your experience please is it worth the thousands dollars compared to websites like coursea which has many well known companies for only $400! and did you get a job eventually? Thank you in advance

@@adamf5018 I can only speak to my CareerFoundry experience. Which I am just finishing up. Unfortunately, I cannot tell you the differences between CareerFoundry and other certificates such as Coursera. That is something you'll need to research on your own. You should be looking at how do you learn best (a program that's all set or can you manage handling deadlines and building your own curriculum), how much money do you have to put towards improving your education/career, as well as time. I will say, none of these bootcamps or courses are going to get you anywhere, if you don't invest extra time to understand the concepts, practice, and invest more time and money into honing those specific skills further. I cannot mention anything about getting a job yet as a Data Analyst or similar, as it's too soon. But the job outlook isn't so great at this time, with various industry layoffs I can see that mid-senior level data analysts are applying for entry level jobs. At least the ones I have looked at on Linkedin. There are many job listings, but some do denote wanting 2-3 years experience for entry level...which I have yet to gain any real world experience. I'm going to take a wild guess that it will take at least 3-6 months after getting my website up to find a job that even utilizes my new skills. I may have to take a role based on my other experience and pair it up with my new data skills. I took the course knowing it might not be purely a data analyst role, but I am sure it will help me gain some type of higher level role. And I also planned on taking a few more courses based on what I want for my skillset for the industry(ies) I want to pursue. Best of luck on finding a path forward! It's not easy either way, so hopefully you find what works for you.
