This was great, thanks, I've been looking for "can medical coders work from home?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Penailey TelepathicPrincipality - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? It is a smashing one of a kind guide for discovering how to passing the AAPC exam for Certified Professional Coder without the normal expense. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my neighbour got cool results with it.

I’m not sure why question 4 still trips me up. If I had to guess without fully reading operative report, I would have chosen the Dysphagia, oral phase…only because the operative report said swallowing. Those little things trip my brain. I’ll be taking my test within the next week and nervous. Very nervous.

Hi Jessica. Dysphagia is difficulty swallowing and you want the doctor to make the diagnosis whether it is oral phase or else. As long as you have watched my videos and understand my tips and strategies, then you will be fine. You can do it. Good luck!

Thank you for sharing you knowledge. My online teacher does nothing. I learn so much from you. But i have a problem. When checking a cpt code for the procedure mentioned in the report. The cpt code describes the procedure in a different way sometimes not like the way it’s described in the report. So i get confused. Also sometimes the cpt code is so similar to the code listed before it and after it that i don’t know which one to choose. I’m talking about the normal process of coding not the exam. And also there are so many medical terms in the report that i don’t know their meaning so it could be a barrier.
