@ulisescortaza31434 жыл бұрын
Cody has the perfect tools and fundamentals of a champion: good defense (when he is composed) along with remarkable counters from nowhere, good grappling due his wrestling background and decent cardio. His biggest enemy its himself and hope we can see more of him in this calm and tactical state of mind instead of rushing and swing & bang, he has a wide variety of skills
@ulisescortaza31434 жыл бұрын
Im confident that if he keeps it up like this, he can become a champion once again, lets see how he does in the future, there are great contenders right now in bw division.
@spaceboogie93334 жыл бұрын
Look how great Cody is when he's calm. No crowd really helped him
@Kevin-rf9sx4 жыл бұрын
That has nothing to do with the crowd in my opinion. For example the TJ fight. He was so emotional because he really disliked TJ and had so much pressure behind him because everyone on his team really wanted to see TJ go down because he left them.. So Cody got over emotional and then he's trash... Other example is the Cruz fight where he was calm and collected and absolutely schooled one of the greatest bantamweights ever. And there was a huge crowd. When opponents like TJ are getting in his head, he gets emotional and looses
@baileymcclain10944 жыл бұрын
I agree with you but I also believe the crowd may have helped a small bit as well
@elloco94084 жыл бұрын
Its his emotion bro. Nothing to do with the crowd. He was unbeaten b4 tj fight
@activekavec0314 жыл бұрын
Of course it has a little bit with the crowd to do, cause in any fight when he gets into an exchange and the crowd gets hype he gets emotionally invested and adrenaline plays into him so he dont think of backing off. So I really think no crowd actually helped cody abit

@xXSulliesXx4 жыл бұрын
Jimnosnow 4 Yeah it’s crazy how a fighter using PEDs can change the course of their opponents career. Cody was 11-0, then 11-2 unfairly because of Pillashaw, then became low on confidence & reckless so 11-3. He didn’t fight for over a year bc of it. But imagine if TJ didn’t cheat, Cody beats him, then 12-0 or 13-0 if they rematch, undefeated undisputed champion then who knows maybe he would have beaten the likes of Cejudo and Mighty Mouse, could be in the bantamweight GOAT conversation. He’s already beaten Cruz.

@@Mike-bt3ki He ducked to get a reaction from Assuncao and for Assuncao to drop his hands and then countered beautifuy. At the end of round 1, Cody backed up against the cage and used head movement to try to avoid punches, and didnt try to counter them. That way when he backed up against the cage at the end of round 2, Assuncao tried to steal the round cuz he thought Cody will also just try to avoid punches and when he ducked he probably though he just ducked to avoid punches, he never saw that counter coming. So Cody's KO was also set up in that way
