@@laurenlyons632 plus it's significant for Reba too because she has deep roots in Rodeo. Her Dad was a pro, she barrel raced too, and was "discovered" singing the anthem at the NFR I believe it was. So it's pretty cool to collab with someone as amazing as Reba but that the song is also true for her. Love it ❤

Exquisite blend of voices! Reba has forged a path for so many in the industry and has been an example of how to make your mark as an individual artist and not be trapped in someone’s ideas, opinions and styles leaving her own by the wayside. I’ve never been star struck in terms of those who are “famous” but I am always struck by the character a person has be it a “famous” person or “everyday” person because to me they are the same. Reba has always managed to be humble and just as human as the people whose names aren’t in lights and Cody Johnson seems to be a bit like that too. In my opinion, that’s a great thing to be. In the days when the knights used to gather at the round table the seats were reserved for the distinguished and superior. If I had such a table there would be a seat for Reba McEntire for sure but, I imagine she would be just fine around the fire, kicked back in a chair and having a conversation. Few people in this world when talking in numbers that exist that I would like to sit down with, but she is in fact one of them. Cody Johnson keep making your mark...I like it!!!!

I mean... Nothing against Reba, she's certainly a legend. But Cody had this song perfect the first time, it didn't need any help. Everytime I listen to this song, it reminds of my younger years competing in demolition derbies. Once we had a couple kids, I kept trying to run but the shows got fewer and fewer as life priorities changed. I remember the day that I realized that it was all but over. This song hits me right in the feels every time.

Veith51 that’s funny, to refer to Reba as a backup singer. This IS a beautiful duet. I admire them both for proving time doesn’t damage quality music, an art to be tasted by the individual listener uniquely. These two artists have proven that time can’t damage true country music any more than it is able to harm quality wine or the Rodeo. But that is just my opinion, finding both uniquely talented, blending well together in this duet for a potential country music duet; not an official Nashville review, just my humble opinion. Have a great autumn. 🍂 Please pardon my typos and editing tonight. Haven’t been here for awhile, need to replace my glasses (or eyes ;), and haven’t had much sleep this week.
