lol I have no idea what how to top off coolant. I’m as average as it can get. Most car languages are foreign to me. I just bring it to someone once I see any lights are on. Can’t even change my tires. Break and gas are all I know. Car go, me good.

noel is absolutely right lmao electric vehicles are only marginally better for the environment because you still have to dispose of batteries that can't be recycled, the electricity is still coming from burning fossil fuels, asphalt creates more emissions, clearing plants to pave roads and make roads wider and wider also worsens cliimate change, having asphalt everywhere absorbs heat and makes cities hotter, i could go on.....switching the cars from being gas powered to electric is mostly a red herring to distract from all the other ways that cars being the primary mode of transport, as opposed to trains or trams, is an Awful idea, but car companies have the US govt by the balls so no public transport infrastructure for us!

electricity coming from burning fossil fuels is wrong.. some of it yes, but not all. a country like sweden is for example not using fossil fuels(less than 2% i believe) at all to generate electricity. Electric cars are also more effecient compared to gas powered cars, even if the electricity was made from burning fossil fuels. Im a car guy myself, i drive an old bmw that gets terrible mpg but i can't deny that electric cars are just better for the environment, no matter what. this isn't some illuminati shit, this has been researched by people that know more than you and i for many decades. over time electric cars are also better for the environment. i just wish there could be some sort of way to create a synthetic fuel so we can keep old loud cars on the roads.

@@Supraifyification europe also has a decent public transportation system lowering the need for vehicles among the population. Over 60% of the U.S electricity is made using fossil fuels and many states are run entirely on fossil fuel. The deterioration of batteries also means that an electric vehicle would have to either get a full replacement battery pack every 10 years or completely scrap the car which both scenarios are horrible for the environment. If you truly want to help the environment stop buying products that is not built to last

@@Pheatan thats just wrong, just like the US only the large cities have good public transportation. If you live outside the capitals its poor, even in the richest european countries. i live in the capital but where my grandparents live they need a car to go everywhere, even the nearest supermarket. I agree you need to stop buying and throwing away, but we can't deny electric cars are just more efficient and over time better for the environment. Obviously electric cars are still bad, but its a terrible argument to use for justifying us still driving around in old gas guzzlers. And i would like to point out again im a huge car guy, i drive a e46 330i but i can't deny what effects it has on the environment if we were all to drive around in this type of car for the next 100 years. I absolutely fucking hate electric cars though and i hope there is some sort of alternative fuel that will allow us some more fun.

E.V.s are not “generally better.” Remember there aren’t solutions, there’s only trade-offs. Mining cobalt and lithium is incredibly dirty and destructive. Then you can talk about how it’s done in countries that exploit children for cheap labor if they don’t just have them for slaves. There are a few cobalt and if I’m not mistaken lithium deposits in the states but mining efforts get shot down by the same people that are pushing electric vehicles. Battery technology hasn’t improved much over the years. Our electrical grids cannot handle everyone having electric vehicles. With all of that said, you could use solar power to charge your car at home and there’s other ways it can be done cleaner. I could go on forever about this issue. I think if anything we should focus on hybrids. You can make hundreds of thousands more battery’s for hybrids with the same minerals than you can fully electric cars. This is all being pushed too hard, too fast. The push for an all electric America needs to be slowed down and reassessed.

@@mannyg1578 the engineering that goes into a tesla is far less advanced than an actual car. in my opinion, a car with an engine takes far more development and consideration to actually create. everything, and i mean everything in a car has to be absolutely perfect to run. it’s insane to think a car can last 20-30 years and still run fine.
