What a clown show that was. The AEW world champ had to give it everything to get by hook. Oh and BTW the AEW World champ still lost to the real world's champ over on raw now.

I have never in my 20+ years of watching wrestling, including studying and watching hours upon hours of the history, ever seen a more perfect example of a babyface/babyface divided crowd. They roared for Punk, and they roared for Cody right back. It's almost impossible to keep up with Punk in a promo, he's one of the greatest talkers of all time. But Cody hung well. In the end, we got a segment that we'll never forget.

Have to say the build for this royal rumble match has been fantastic. Can't remember in previous years such intrigue and genuine 'what's gonna happen' going into the match. Feels like there's several routes they can take and what's more it's all been done JUST by promos, not physical interaction. We've been left from a storyline POV where Punk, Rhodes, McIntyre, perhaps a surprise returning Rock and even Gunther could win the thing and we'd as fans be left thinking 'fair'. Usually there's just 1 clear favourite and everyone else, but this year they could genuinely take a few routes and all be plausible.

I think it’s pretty clear the choices are Punk or Cody. Drew and Gunther are like…COULD they win? Absolutely. WILL they win? Absolutely not. There’s not a real point to either winning. I think we’re talking more about the rumble than in previous years, but it’s also so clear who the favorites are. There are routes on other people winning but others would be left out. Hypothetically, let’s say Drew won: ok, well I would say based off his anger he’d probably go for Roman. So Cody is…left out to dry? Punk might still get Seth. If Drew goes for Seth, well whatever the plan is for chamber is gonna be immediately telling, cause Cody needs that to get to Roman which feels…over booking-ish.

McIntyre/Priest was a really solid match given the time they had. Both guys are great at using their strength and surprising athleticism for their size. I legit had no vlue who'd win given how both guys have so much momentum right now. AND THEN, theu threw in Truth. I love the angle, but it has a shelf life, and they need to know the line so it doesn't go too far, too quickly. And ruining that main event was a prime example

best part of raw last night was cm punk and cody rhodes face-to-face that was awesome r-truth and the Judgement Day is such an awesome Pairing I already see people complaining about this saying oh Judgement Day should be the top heel group on raw they're right but without R-truth and JD mcfunko judgment day is boring can't wait for the royal rumble PLE on saturday hopefully we get female legends as apart of the women's royal rumble match since last year we only got one with michelle mccool hopefully this year isn't disappointing like last year.

Gable should be this era Angle. Maybe not a main event of a WM but he got a few ceilings to break through to get to the level he should be. I'd push Ivar but I'd do so to repackage War Machine. WWE finally has a healthy stack of tag teams but the division is stalling with Judgement Day holding the tag belts. I'd do Priest v Drew at WM for the briefcase, maybe Finn v Zayn or something to get both on the card. So have DIY beat them. We have AOP, War Machine, DIY, The Creed Brothers, Street Profits, I'd make Theory and Waller a official tag team, New Day, Imperium ( who should be the Champs ) Alpha Academy. Etc.... start building them. I wouldn't break up Judgement Day but they don't need the Tag Titles. It was useful to have them on both shows but they are never on SD so beat them. Outside of the Rumble I wouldn't have any potential WM match like Drew v Priest on TV wonky finish or not and build up these clashes. WWE has done a masterful job setting up Punk, Cody, Seth, Drew, Gunther etc... for multiple feuds but start doing the same for your WM matches. This is the first Rumble in years I'm actually excited for. I enjoyed last years but everyone knew Cody was winning. This year there are so many stars there's more possibilities. Yes Punk or Cody will probably win but I'm more excited for what else they set up. I'd do Gunther v Lesnar or Big E at WM. So set that up. What's a shame is KO, Zayn etc... have zero direction for mania. Lashley will most likely be in a 6 man tag. It may be dangerous but I'd let Big E retire Goldberg ( no jackhammer lol ).

The Rhodes and Punk segment was the ultimate slap in the face to Tony Khan. Look at where WWE business sits now, look at the state of AEW and know that Tony Khan dropped the ball. Still waiting for the Bucks and Jungle Boy to do another victory lap after causing this situation. I can't imagine that there is anyone on the AEW roster that has a chance to go to WWE not wishing they were there now. It is a joke that Meltzer still pretends that AEW is at the same level as WWE. I think they are closer to Impact with the only difference being Tony has an unlimited amount of money from his father to lose.
