I met Cody the day after he won the ROH World title in Lowell, MA and in that one minute I had with him, he gave me his undivided attention. It was the coolest thing because it felt like he truly cared about my experience and it’s a lifelong memory I’ve had ever since. Everything he said about meeting people was true. What an amazing person. To this day, since that day in Lowell, he has been my favorite wrestler.

There was always potential with him during the 2010's, glad he's the face of the company now! @Baronnax
@Baronnax 5 ай бұрын
The entire shift in perspective is certainly similar, but let's be honest, people are looking back at those movies with rose-tinted glasses. The prequels overall are ok at best, people are either nostalgic about the time or just hate the sequel trilogy even more.

I will say people have been coming around to the prequels for about a decade or so now but only after the Clone Wars series came out and kinda sparked the love for the prequels. Even more funny seeing people start praising and warming up to the sequels after hearing non-stop how bad and rightfully disorganized the movies were. Like it's a shame it takes some people that are always negative so long to finally see how good people had it cause things can and will always get worse over time
@perceivedvelocity9914

You can thank Disney for the newfound appreciation of the prequel trilogy. Some of the new Disney Star Wars has been terrible and has made episode 1 and 2 look good in comparison. IMO episode 3 was always good.

Cody’s growth has been incredible. It feels like how he was in 2019 just a bigger scale. In 2019 he was THE MAN in AEW and then after the MJF feud the memes started and the lack of world title matches. Leaving AEW as shocking as it was it worked. If he stayed he would have either have been the gate keeper wrestler or been a heel world champion and that would have been fun but what he got now is much more special, he’s the guy the way he should’ve been in 2019. He is the perfect baby face

What Cody is talking about when he refers to creating memories is very true. About 10 years ago, I worked with a guy that told me that he knew Matt Hardy. I didn't believe him, so one day he decided to prove it. He called Matt and put him on the screen. Despite the fact that he was probably very busy, Matt sat on the phone with me for about 30 minutes. He certainly didn't have to, but he did. That's something I'll never forget. Taking that time for the fans creates people that will be fans for life. Those are the people who will be ringing their kids to shows ten years down the road.

Another fantastic interview. These press runs really make me enjoy Cody more. I lost all faith last year and stopped watching for 6+ months until the old man was outed fully. To come back in the fall of last year and have the buildup that actually culminated in him winning the way it should of been was one of the most satisfying feelings ever. I still didnt really have faith. But knowing its in HHH, Nick, Aris hands. Makes me happy as ever. Codys gotten over twice in my book.

I’m not a big Cody Rhodes fan but I will admit he carries himself very well! He’s the John Cena of this new era and I wish him well! A heel turn will be shocking!

I hope it doesn't happen for at least a few years.. it's so rare to get a babyface like Cody, should ride it out as long as you can.

What pisses people off about Cody is that he is real about it all. They want him fall off or slip on a banana peel because they can't admit that somebody who is so good is being real and not faking it 24/7.

Chris you continue to prove week in and week out that hard work and dedication truly pays off. Going from a radio station interviewing wrestlers hoping people tune in at that specific time to being a host to the world champion of the biggest company in the biz. Every interview just a tick better than the last. You are a great inspiration for anyone in any passion they have that they can do what they are passionate about as well. Gotta be a hell of a fun ride too. Lol.

After hearing Cody say there were fans pissy about this interview, I don’t understand what that could possibly be about. There are some wrestling fans that can’t fucking like anything.

I’d say he’s more of the guy that was handpicked to dethrone Roman but nothing more, since catc he’s been fading. It seems like wwe writers are having a hard time booking face champions

CVV is the Joe Rogan of wrestling podcasts

Except Van Vliet seems to have more respect for wrestling than Rogan who's had some pretty ignorant takes. This comment might take some heat but Rogan just comes across to me like a classic meathead where Van Vliet seems to conduct interviews with far more class.

CODY proves on a daily basis why he is the text book definition of what a champion should be. Might get a lot of hate for this, but maybe the BEST champion in the history of the business from an all around presentation and representation.

Cody Rhodes book title has gotta be “Dreams and Nightmares”. His story is inexorably linked with that of his father, and it’s permanently tied to Philadelphia, it’s a huge comeback story.

What I love about Cody Rhodes is he does not get into the shit talking back and forth. When asked about something someone said about him he takes the high road and what he says is in the most respectful way possible but if you read between the lines he gets his point across. Look at all he has done in wwe in aew he has done everything he set out to do how many if the haters can say that in there life they have done everything they wanted none
