I met Cody the day after he won the ROH World title in Lowell, MA and in that one minute I had with him, he gave me his undivided attention. It was the coolest thing because it felt like he truly cared about my experience and it’s a lifelong memory I’ve had ever since. Everything he said about meeting people was true. What an amazing person. To this day, since that day in Lowell, he has been my favorite wrestler.

Man he nailed it about the Star wars fandom. I just commented on a post within the last week or so about how crazy it is everyone seems to be coming around on the prequels after decades of hating them
@BaronnaxАй бұрын
The entire shift in perspective is certainly similar, but let's be honest, people are looking back at those movies with rose-tinted glasses. The prequels overall are ok at best, people are either nostalgic about the time or just hate the sequel trilogy even more.

@____Nairod____Ай бұрын
I will say people have been coming around to the prequels for about a decade or so now but only after the Clone Wars series came out and kinda sparked the love for the prequels. Even more funny seeing people start praising and warming up to the sequels after hearing non-stop how bad and rightfully disorganized the movies were. Like it's a shame it takes some people that are always negative so long to finally see how good people had it cause things can and will always get worse over time
@perceivedvelocity9914Ай бұрын
You can thank Disney for the newfound appreciation of the prequel trilogy. Some of the new Disney Star Wars has been terrible and has made episode 1 and 2 look good in comparison. IMO episode 3 was always good.

Cody’s growth has been incredible. It feels like how he was in 2019 just a bigger scale. In 2019 he was THE MAN in AEW and then after the MJF feud the memes started and the lack of world title matches. Leaving AEW as shocking as it was it worked. If he stayed he would have either have been the gate keeper wrestler or been a heel world champion and that would have been fun but what he got now is much more special, he’s the guy the way he should’ve been in 2019. When Cody talked about how if you are waiting for someone to turn heel then he is technically already the heel in your book, that resonated with me 100%... I am one of those who is waiting for that heel turn, same way I waited for Cena to do the same, so they are already heels in my book. It's just very difficult for me to stay interested in babyface characters, particularly after they reach the top of the mountain, I've always leaned more towards the heels and their motivation, especially when their excuses make absolute sense (Hangman in AEW right now, Punk in his feud with Cena back in the days, etc.).
