I have the same stand and I have loved it since day one. It seemed counterintuitive bc you have to buy all these extra accessories but the tradeoff was well worth it since I use my laptop at least 6 days a week. I bought a wireless mouse & keyboard w/a ten-key plus a lap tray that I put them on. The ease on my neck, eyes and preventing the "hunch" is priceless to me!!

Definitely get the Roost over the knockoff one on Amazon. If you're getting something that you're putting your +$1000 laptop on, spend the extra $50. Also, the neck and back strain can't be understated enough. I see so many people hunched over at a coffee shop; I'd be surprised if they don't already have pain, and eventually, have long-term damage in their 30's or 40's. It's terrifying that this isn't being addressed despite the majority of people working on laptops, even elementary school kids working on their school-issued Chromebooks. But rant aside, amazing video! Straight to the point and informative.

Decided to order it!!! Wasn't sure how hard it would be to order in Australia and it's small so why not.

A great tip! But I also have a little question, is this really necessary ? Because when we read books or study, we also have to bend down like that, even worse than using laptops and it has been a long time in human history. So, our spine has yet to adapt to that ? Sorry for my bad English, because English is not my mother language. Hope to see your answer soon, thank you ! :D

Hi, can you use it at a coffee shop without keyboard and mouse - ie is it strong enough and the correct angle to use the laptop directly? Thanks!

+MStar10 in its lowest setting it would probably be comfortable enough. Any higher and your arms would get tired.

What if your elbows rest on the armrests of a chair, could you put the Roost on your lap and work this way? (or will the weight of your hands on the palmrests of the laptop still be too much weight on your legs then?)

Great video mate! Found a cheaper ripoff and was forced to buy it because roost didnt ship to India (thats where I live), costs 30ish bucks but seems to have everything roost has and I believe is as sturdy. Called "Urbo Foldable and Portable Laptop Stand for Healthier Posture and to Elevate any Laptop or Notebook" Its always good to have alternatives you know ;)

Can anyone confirm if the angle works with the new iPad Pro magic keyboard? It has a rather limited tilt back angle

The bad thing is that you should get an external keyboard if you want to use this stand.
@CodyJensen

I wouldn't say that's a bad thing, just different than a low stand. I prefer using an external keyboard so I can have my screen as high as possible.
