I just had this sent to me by the only woman who not only loved me. But yet taught me to love. She was angelic, a lover, a partner, a soul mate, and an angel. She loved my three children far more than their own biological mother every could. And I fell so far from being a better man. I pray that you find a love that loves you back equally. You changed my life forever.

A few weeks ago, I was in this situation, somewhere between I LOVE YOU and I'M LEAVING. I chose to let go since it is hard being the only one who is trying and fighting. You never wanted to let go of me but you're scared to fight for us. So that's just the way it is. Though we are so happy and contented with how we are, the two of us, I let go. And I become your last love and you saddest memory. You, one of my life's greatest lessons.

This song is about Cody hating to leave home, his wife and kids and jumping on the bus heading out on tour. He loves the fans but he hates leaving his family. This is why he says he never breaks even. Great song but it is his hurt he is singing about. But as with any good song, it should hit home to those that listen to it and allow it to create a personal story to them.

Tonight though, those tears are alot less than they used to be, cause I now have some strength to do what should have been done a long time ago. Still hurts though. Being with someone for almost 20 yrs does that, growing up together and thinking that will be your last love and then, no, it doesn't end like that. I'm now gone as he is as well. No more in the middle. It will get better. If you feel as if it won't ever get better, it does, you just need to heal and look fwd to what is to come. Since HS I’ve loved you it’s been amazing all these years but these last two kill me everyday, I haven’t had “you” since not once do you have me stay the night, not once do you want me like you did, when will it go back! Before I let you go forever, breaks my heart to know this ain’t going to be forever. Love ya Cody how the music hits my soul here in rochester NY !

Am I the only who who hears this song and it reminds you that happiness is elusive? It's like even when you have it you don't actually want it.

This resonates in my soul right now. I can't sit here and listen to this without knowing the truth to this song.

oscarsencion92 _ that’s some hard stuff.. when you want it so bad for them to be the one.. and your heart knows better.. Do you tell them & then set them free?? Do you just live a lie until it blows up?

@@connief8913 You can only fight the feeling for so long. But eventually you have to make the decision, to just let it go. I don't know but in my situation. It wasn't fair for either one of us to be wasting our time. You know what they say, something that isn't growing is dying.

I really thank you guys for your comments. I’ve in this situation for many time I couldn’t find the words for this because it is not common. Eventually I decided that we have to go our own ways even though she didn’t wanted that. But that’s the best for all, so I did. It kinda hurts still.

somewhere in between all of that love and leaving we sometimes loose ourselves and we loose us sometimes the journey is so long and winding but if the love is strong maybe just maybe you'll make it back to each other in the end just remember love has no bounds it even exceeds death love is the strongest thing in the world

Been somewhere between the two for longer than I wished I had been. Ive lost a lot of potential happiness holding onto someone who has already been gone. I should have followed my gut instead of this stubborn heart. Its for the best that I leave and still have love for you rather than stay and hate you! I've never quit anything and I hate not being able to turn this into a happy together ending but I can turn it into a better man better off ending. Good times are still in my future and im going to see them come without you.

Ultimatums aren’t fun. How do you choose between the everyone you have ever learned to love? You just can’t. There is no way. I hope my kids know I would’ve never made them choose between me and the one they love. And I pray they understand why this outcome is the way I ended. I can’t choose.
